I think living through the experience would be harder than the navigating! Lol!

I would recommend against dating porn actresses. I've heard they're generally flakey. I have hung out with a few strippers, and they were mostly flakey.

If you're an octogenarian I doubt their flakiness would be the foremost thing on your mind, as you're probably not looking for a life partner for long. Lol!

Edit: Actually, when I am an octogenarian navigating liveporndating.com I will be intending to go out with a bang!

I'm hoping that when I'm an octogenerian, I still have the ability to bang. Older women have it easier in that respect.

Well, get on with your push-ups! Lol!

Alright, I dunno what is going on in this thread but I've got my eye on ALL of you. Kinda feeling like there was a party I wasn't invited to. Hmph!

Just visited liveporndating.com to see what the fuss is all about. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.) All I can say is something there reminded me of a Van Morrison song from 1967.

Good man, taking one for the team!

***NOTE: I just realized that I don't actually know if you're male or female. So, I apologize if I assumed incorrectly.

Place your bets on how long it's gonna take for her to finish him off!

I expect you're right. You don't get to be a billionaire by being stoopid eh?
Well this particular man is well known for paying famous/young/beautiful women large sums of money to be his date for events. He knows whats up. I'm sure she has a nice little allowance but I imagine he keeps her on abit of a tight leash. If he leaves her anything it won't be much.

Well, that's interesting Pheryn, I didn't bother following this up as you have.

Paying females for the pleasure of their company isn't something I've ever done, so I wouldn't know how to negotiate these things.

Yeah, it is tricky.

Once, many years ago when I was visiting my Mum in Plymouth, I heard a woman (who I assume was getting on in years and was clearly lonely) put out a request on the local commercial radio station for someone to keep her company, and she was offering to pay them a small amount of money (I can't remember how much) for this.

There were no sexual overtones; she just wanted someone to talk to (and maybe with). With hindsight it was one of the saddest things I've ever heard on the radio.

I didn't respond myself, but with hindsight I wonder whether or not I should have.

LOL I wouldn't say I've followed this up. The article I read about his wedding the other day mentioned his history. Specifically focusing on when Kim Kardashian was one of his paid dates. Apparently he thought she was 'annoying'. Duh. Didn't have to fork over hundreds of thousands to figure that out. So, maybe he isn't so smart after all.

Aww, that is pretty sad.

A few years ago I worked as a nanny for a woman who was a stripper and an escort. She was very open and honest about what she did and she told me that most of her clients just wanted someone to talk to and that sex was rarely part of the deal.

I've had one friend get divorced from, a month after he declared bankruptcy, and other friends get divorced from when their careers hit a slide. They found out they were paying for companionship. They just hadn't realized it until the money stopped.

Til death do us part....or until you can't pay for my bi-weekly mani-pedi. All too common, sadly.

That's terribly sad Cats. As I'm slowly finding out for myself, as one grows older there's a possibility ones independence is eroded to a greater or lesser degree. Some years ago an elderly lady who lived in the basement rang my doorbell. She had started to run a bath and now couldn't turn the water off again. I turned the tap (faucet) off for her and for that she wanted to give me £10. I couldn't take the money.

I don't think I'd pay someone to keep me company and it's not because I'm tight-fisted but because I'd know that's the only reason they were there. I think I'd rather be lonely.

My mother in law has been living independently a retirement community. Now her health issues mean that she will probably have to move in with one of her children. At least she has several descendents to choose from.

I think I read somewhere that a measure of a society is the way that they treat the elderly. I believe Mediterranean countries and Asiatic countries do better than western European ones.

Take it from me: older women don't have it easier than men when it comes to sex. It's something that doesn't get talked about as mmuch bc women are supremely embarrassed about it, but sex after menopause sometimes becomes excruciatingly painful. Womens' bodies stop making Estrogen, and the woman suffers from vaginal dryness., making intercourse undesirable for both male and female. There are exceptions, of course, just as there are 80 yr old men who can still 'perform'.

'For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer...' yeah right! Maybe I'm just an old romantic, but wouldn't you know if your partner is simply 'going through the motions' and is really just treating you as a meal ticket?
