Oh, I dunno that I agree that thetans can't or shouldn't exist without bodies, as a concept. I just think that in this universe, that's what most of us are doing and may need to do at the stage(s) we're at now. I know several people- not all of whom are Scn'ists- who don't want to pick up a body next time. I'm not one of them, however.

Hey Voltaire's Child, I'm on the same line. If somebody wants to go around as a ghost or live as an 8th dynamic, be god and factually be dead, to me there's no issue for them. Fact is to me that if you don't pick a body, at least in this Universe, you will be terribly out of comm with a lot of thetans that do have a body. Does communication work effectively when you are a ghost to them? I guess you will get a lot of ARC breaks.
Is there a nice 2nd, 3rd and 4th dynamics for spirits? Maybe I'm wrong but at present, on this planet, the spirits that live without a body are spirits that have been hurt by the loss of their last body or body thetans, and my limited experience has not supplied me with evidence these spirits do exist. You may argue that for a while you could go around and free these lone spirits and BTs. But then they will look for a body. And you're still responsible to free your fellows with a body, how can you do that in spirit form? You'll go around and zap black masses? I say bodies are still a nice tool to have. Only problem, you lose some years in childhood where you cannot do much for a variety of reasons.
As usual when you think of all these issues, the mathematics and logic of this system become problematic. You can fancy out some wicked solutions, but they are wicked, and are far off the solutions which you could derive from Occam's Razor. Which brings to me that maybe we are not as immortal as we think and that, maybe, we're created at conception and die with our bodies.
Factually, if you have the power to avoid it, it would be a great pain to leave all your knowledge behind and evolve like a normal child for years and years. The first dead OT8s should now be in their 15-20 age. And they can be as free as they want, but if they believe in current Scientology, they'll have to pick up a body to go OT 9 and 10 at least. Now, I ask myself, if an OTVIII picks up a body, when will he first go back to a Scientology Church and say "Hello, I'm an OTVIII"? And I know that you can attest past life clear (my aunt has done it) but will they let you attest "past life OTVIII"?
Too much problematic stuff.
I guess that Scientology must be taken in a limited way. ARC, KRC, O/W, Condition and the rest could be ok. When you get too much into the esoteric stuff, you might get into a trap.

Nice post Ali. I confer with much of what you've said here.

Hey, you're not at all like most other Sci's! Good to know it! :p

I agree, Ali G. I guess that maybe if there was some kind of Nirvana or Native State (two different concepts, I know) then it might be different, but like you said, on this planet, it's more like being a ghost or something of the sort.

It depends on what the person wants to do and is able to do.
