Sheila was one of the good guys in the SO, trying against all odds to help fellow staff members get off Wayne Marple's Rock Slam RPF. Kerry Gleason helped her with this and he also helped me during an especially rough patch. I can still remember her boisterous laugh in the halls of Big Blue. I know there were times here where she got out of line and she pissed people off but she also made some excellent contributions. I also hope you are doing well Sheila!

We lost some people who were openly supportive of Trump, some that loathed him and many more left well before he even came on the scene.

People move on, they always have and always will but as far as I know we have no proof that anyone left purely because of the existence of a few political threads, and even if they did (or said that they did) so what? Nobody forces people to read those threads ... maybe some people left to join political message boards instead because they wanted more politics!

Oh, I don't know whether they'd be correct or not Veda. Some people would fly into a rage, others would simply laugh (I'd fall into the latter category I think, but maybe if I was built like Arnie S. I'd react differently).

The thing about tr8theta (apart from his nick) is that telling me to 'GFY' didn't bother me much really. What bothered me much more is that he had the effrontery to come on to an ex scientologist message board and start proselytising at us. That's what really pisses me off.

ANSWER: Yes if the person giving the finger is Donald Trump, the correct reaction would be to fly into a rage.

There is a notable exception to the above inviolable rule: If anyone (who didn't vote for Hillary or Bernie) DID or DID NOT give the finger, that would also justify flying into a rage. ​

I am simply stating the circumstances of thousands of people who have been abused and scammed by scientology. I can deal with it too, but I also enjoy locking horns with those who come here to promulgate the benefits of the 'religion'. Yes, of course, it's pointless simply insulting and/or attacking such people as no progress will be made that way, but if someone is verbally abusive, then the gloves are off as far as I'm concerned.
