O/W Write up or How I beat the meter!

O/W Write up.

1. I invalidated the meter.

Time: About a year or so ago.

Place: Auditing room 6.

Form: Auditing session.

Event: I was receiving a sec check from a class VI OT 7 auditor. I answered a question then realized my answer was not really “it” but the auditor indicated the F/N. I am an experienced auditor, I know we will pick it up later, but this person is my Idol, what the hell. The auditor re checked the question, I was getting ready to correct myself and give the actual overt (I was happy to have found this particular overt I had forgotten about and happy I was willing to give it up easily) and an F/N was indicated again then end ruds and session ended. Hmmm, what was this? The next session I intentionally gave a lesser overt, thought of something I enjoyed and F/Ned another six questions this way. I completed my sec check with a class VI OT 7 withholding eight “major” as far as the org was concerned overts. The meter was not as infallible as I had thought.

This was a major happening that started disabusing me of the tech

2. Espionage

Time: About 2 months ago.

Place: 25 miles from here.

Form: Posting at an Internet café.

Event: After all the dispatches with the DSA, watching more of my public looking at the internet and reading all the DA material I decided to look myself. I found this site called ESMB and it helped me find what I now believe to be the truth. I still want to help people get free from suppression and be able to speak freely, so I posted on that board to try and help the way I was helped.

I feel an affinity for most of these SP’s there and feel they are also my comrades.

3. I have affinity for a suppressive person.

Time: About 2 months ago.

Place: ESMB.

Form: Reading.

Event: There was this guy named Alanzo. I don’t know the whole story about this guy, but most of his posts valuable to me. I can say he is a big one of the many who helped me see truth.

I miss his posts.

This is true.

I've told this story before, but I don't remember where, so I'm writing it freshly again.

Back around 1971, my girl friend and I were on level one of the academy levels at the Berkeley, CA org. It didn't last as an org for very long.

We were both OT, and I was friends with the top banana at the org, Ned Branch. Dan Koon was there too.

The course supervisor, Jim Darsey, who BTW is still in, was replaced by a guy fresh from the Flag Course Supervisors Course. His name was Bob D'Asto. He was a real jerk. After two days of him, my girl friend, Martha Weller, and I, decided to take him out. We went around at break and talked to every single student. There were probably thirty. We pointed out that course supes live and die on stats.

That day, and part of the next, student stats crashed. We (Martha and I) went from a couple thousand a day to under 50. As students, we just took a longer more thoughtful, and slower approach to reading a definition and continuing on.

After a day and a half, every student in the course room, and all the appropriate staff were meter checked. Martha's and my needles were floating. We must have been clean. Bob D'Asto was kicked upstairs where he wasn't in contact with people. Jim Darsey came back. Our stats returned to normal. I told Ned about this that week end. He thought it was funny.

The e meter is only a tool. It's a whole lot better to rely on your own psychic knowingness. If the PC's answer doesn't feel clean, there's more to say. It doesn't matter what the meter says. On the other side, if the PC looks great, call the F/N even if you don't see it.
