Fractals Have a Part in This

I saw a program on "Fractals" again last night. It was on the "Nova" series on PBS. Title of the piece was: "Hunting the Hidden Dimension."

Nice, appropriate title for what we are dealing with on this thread, no?

Anyway, our Vin would have loved the piece as the subject of fractals is based on mathematics.

What I was observing was that fractals are akin to harmonics, harmonic resonance, and the compounding of effect by reinforcement (or addition).

Such reinforcement resulting from harmonic resonance can have quite colossal effects.

On November 7, 1940, the Tacoma Narrows Suspension Bridge was destroyed as a result of overwhelming resonance set up by a steady wind.

The program last night showed how the compounding of tiny fractal images builds up to quite colossal scenarios.

I also observe this in the context of the compounding of spiritual life-force emanations.

PS: I just found a link for those interest on the subject of harmonic resonance here entitled:
17. Resonance
Why a swaying bridge collapses with a high wind, and why a wine glass shatters with a higher octave.
The internet link is: http://www.learner.org/resources/series42.html?pop=yes&pid=566#

All you have to do is click on the "VoD" symbol to the right of the page beside the item and it will play for free for you.

This a wonderful video that is part of the on-line college course in physics at Caltech. It's in layman's language, so don't panic. It's a wonderful half-hour of good info. You'll actually see harmonic resonance at work in music, also to shatter glass, and you'll see the famous bridge above going into its leaps and collapse.

http://www.learner.org/vod/vod_window.html?pid=566

Also, for those interested, I recommend actually doing all 52 of the videos of the course.

He seems to not have posted for over a week. Sometime after he first started posting, he mentioned that he then had a lot of free time and was therefore free to post a lot but said that such would not always be the case. He predicted there would be lulls and that posting would almost certainly be resumed after a lull. Vin, enjoy the niceness and quiteness while you can..........Lkwdblds

"Religion, as you know it in the Christian church, is well in the vicinity of 0.0. It's really close to death. They talk about "their God." A little bit higher they talk about "their Christ."

Well, what's God in this case? It's themselves. But you've got to go all the way up through the dynamics to find him. You can't go out and walk around geographically trying to locate, yourself, your own God because you are your own God. It's so simple. You can't walk around all over the place trying to "find Christ" or "put Christ in your heart" or some such thing as that, because as far as you're concerned, you're - when you got to a straight up 7, you'd be it - you'd be Christ. Do you get the idea?"

How does God express itself? God expresses itself through life... through you and me... through all these animals and insects. Even the unthinking mechanics is an expression of God.

God doesn't express its will through the mechanics of this universe in present time. This mechanics was set a long time ago. It continues to operate as it was programmed a long time ago.

In present time, God expresses its will through Man the most.

I started this thread trying to understand the mechanics of this universe. We all have been trying to do this for millenia.

It is God trying to understand His handiwork.

God is suffering from amnesia.

Probably, it was all planned that way. It is the game of all games!

A game played against oneself.

"Itself"
What a concept.

And WHO programmed it? Who made it happen? an IT?

thats like saying my toaster made it.
My toaster is an it.

how would you feel to be known as an "it"? After all... don't you create God in your image?

I read these words that rang true...
God is Jealous, can be angry, loves, IS love, would like to KNOW you.

Then I hear someone call God an IT and I think .... could my toaster love, programm the universe, have ultimate patience, DESIRE to know and love me?

Vin - Very nice post but I have two questions. First, as to the mechanics which were set a long time ago, didn't God express its will at that time? and since the program is still continuing to operate, isn't God still continuing, in a sense, to express itself even though the program is self perpetuating? Pepin states it very nicely (I wrote this post before reading Pepin's post or your reply to it.)

The second question, which I am sure came to the mind of many others as it immediately did to me, is whether or not you consider Man the peak of God's expression in the entire universe or just on Earth; might not there be other races and other species elsewhere in the universe in which God expresses its will more than in Man?

Note, by using "its" as the pronoun for God, I mean no disrespect for the those who practice any religion. I am solely using it to question Vin in the same term he used in expressing his thoughts. In normal discussion I would use "His" to show respect.

One last thing, Vin, do you have an opinion on Leon's post where he states that Christianity is at tone 0.0. I do not believe this is accurate and is too low just because of my life experience. I feel comfortable being friends with and especially in doing business with Christians. They follow ethics principles which are much higher than 0.0 such as aiding the less fortunate with charity, not practicing adultery, forgiving transgressions, doing good works. It seems to me, correct me if I am wrong, that a lot of these traits are in the 3.0 to 3.5 band. I think that Judaism, is slightly higher toned than Christianity because the individual atones for his or her own sins and does not let Christ take responsiblity for their sins. I feel that for an individual to advance spiritually, he or she must take full reponsiblity for all transgressions against whatever code he or she subscribes to. Both Christianity and Judaism are in propitiation to an allmighty God and propitiation is a lower tone level manifestation so, Vin, I do not really know the tone level of these religions and appreciate Leon's and LRH's opinion, as quoted by Leon, and would also like yours.

It all depends on what you're subscribing to, what source of knowledge you are using as your foundation.

What causes a person to cling to a certain source may seem arbitrary leading to the question, is there a way that the true God (since there are many proposed) draws one to Him/it? … thus eliminating the possibility of recognizing the wrong one. But how would one know for sure that the drawing is the true one?

There is a concept in Christianity that an evil force or spirit is planting myriad false religions/churches in the world making it so confusing and a practical impossibility to find the singular true one.

There are lot of emotions involved in any discussion of God. These emotions are triggered by misunderstanding and ego.

God is neither "he", nor "she", nor "it". Trying to nit pick on these pronouns is simply the result of one's emotions getting triggered. Language has its limitations. Why make language an issue in the discussion of God?

There are over 6 billion people in this world. I would say there are over 6 billion gods.

None of the two gods are the same.

Do you think all Christians have the same God?
Do you think all Jews have the same God?
Do you think all Muslims have the same God?

Take a good look.

For me, this concept of God is all too real. But it is real to ME in an inner sense. I do not expect anyone to understand because the relationship between me and God is strictly one on one. I cannot "convert" anyone to my way of thinking and I do not try. But in an empirical way God has been demonstrated to me personally dozens of times. I could even enumerate them here, but that is pointless because as I said it is one on one, not me proclaiming to the world, and dammit you had better listen. No such thing. It is personal and I expect no one to understand.

That is correct. True God has always been one on one. and that is why there are at least as many gods as there are humans.

Any attempt to get an agreement over God gets into politics. Therefore, all organized religions deal with politics more than they deal with God. The idea of "conversion" has nothing to do with advancing an individual spiritually. It has to do with with increasing one's power base.

Blueprint creator ……. The designer
Prototype creator ……. The manufacturing engineer
Assembly line producer….. The factory organization
The mechanical product… operates for consumer as designed

The designer is long gone busy with other things. The "will" is built in the design.

Space is the viewpoint of dimension.

In my space so far, Man is the peak of God’s expression.

But awareness grows as space grows. When I find a still better expression of God then I shall let you know. But then, it is possible that, by that time, you may have heard of it already on CNN.

Does the use of “it” show disrespect?

I think each person has their own viewpoint created out of their ego.

A wise person understands. A wise person doesn't dub-in and get enraged at the drop of a hat.

I don’t believe he stated that Christianity is at tone 0.0 as you put it. I think that the statement was,

"Religion, as you know it in the Christian church, is well in the vicinity of 0.0…”

Tone 0.0 is no theta all MEST. In other words, something has simply been reduced to mechanics. It is devoid of consideration. It cannot consider anything. Looking at how the Christian Church was operating in India when I was growing up, I would have to agree with that statement. It may or may not have improved since then. You'll have to look at it in present time.

Now talking about “Christians” those are cats of all sort of different colors. I don’t see how one can generalize about them. It is better to call them humans.

I would say that there are as many religions as there are individuals as far as the practice of religion goes. This is also very human.

Now you may certainly discuss ideas, philosophies, reasons underlying religions and their rituals... their relative merits and demerits. But you better talk in specific terms and not in generalities.
