He looks familiar, but I can't place him. I checked this entire list on Google images & couldn't find a match.

Scientology uses the law firm of Latham & Watkins, alot. One of it's main attorneys is David J. Schindler. I don't know how old the profile pic is, but he's balding & has bushy black eyebrows. ??

Graham Berry may recognize him, but Graham rarely posts here.

Same here, he looks really familiar to me, but can't place it. It seems like I saw him in a video harassing someone. Sorry I can't think of where I saw him.

I watched a video of this guy from a URL in a post here on ESMB awhile back.
    I can't find it.

The video showed him questioned as to why he was there and what he was doing... then he picked up his stuff and walked out.

Was this a video that involved Blown For Good?
    I'm trying to remember.
Was it Headley that confronted him in the waiting area outside a court room? Am I right?
(I am not refering to the hotel birthday scene.)

Could it be? I see a slight resemblance (if you include possible sick body causing age progression) here in the photo of a PI who you posted of in 2013 on OCMB "Scientology Inc Private investigator ~~ he's worked for them for a while, he looks like the same PI that escorted Jim Lynch to my home."

More PI info on the net

Here is another page of PIs with photos create by Tilman Hausherr, long time critic :)

( Tilman mentions a page with ' a tons of Scientology private investigators' by Mike Kratz. That page is now down. Perhaps the page I mirrored on scribd was once Kratz's page )

    A video with some :
SCIENTOLOGY's Private Investigators [just an example]

Image of a PI from the video. Not sure who he is

I doubt that's him. In Karen's courthouse photo, the guy is carrying a brown, leather satchel used to carry multiple legal files often used by attorneys.

    Thanks Smurf.
But have you ever heard of a Scientology paid lawyer whipping out a camera to take photos inside a courthouse ?
  9. Smurf

    Smurf Gold Meritorious SP

No, but I'm not surprised given the tremendous amount of FAIL the cult has experienced lately. :) During AGP's legal issues with Lissa Uvizl years ago, OSA legal aide, Phillipe Pedersen, took pictures of AGP. Graham & me in the hallway outside the courtroom.

Were you in the courthouse on a Scientology-related case? Do you know what case this douchebag was involved in? It would make it alot easier to ID him. You can PM if you wish.

Karen#1....It is such a good photo of the might try going to the Court House, with a copy of it, and asking around with the Court Clerks and such...if anyone knows him.

I assume this in the big city of yea, probably a long shot....but perhaps a friend could try for you.

Also....another long shot....a couple times a could post his pic in Rants and Raves on Craigslist....and just ask if anyone recognizes him.

I don't know how much an ad with photo in the LA Weekly would cost...but that could be done also...

    Smurf Gold Meritorious SP

Umm... No! Karen would be inviting a big lawsuit for harassment & intimidation posting this man's photo. She does not need this.

OK. I don't know the law about that.....not trying to get anyone into trouble...

My thought was that if this guy was taking photographs.....then those he was taking pictures of....certainly must have some to why?

Its not like he is a Paparazzi...taking celeb photos....or something. He was sleuthing.....

    Smurf Gold Meritorious SP

Do you have any legal experience, Leland? I know what I'm talking about. He could deny taking photos of people.

Unless Karen could prove, i.e., a photograph of him with a camera in hand taking pictures of people, then it would be a case of 'he said.. she said' And he could seek damages for being a subject of public ridicule.

    Leland Crusader

OK. Smurf. Some minor legal experience......Real Estate docs and such...wrote up a Mineral Rights doc once....and won 2 lawsuits.....but really, not much.

I do own a "Blacks" but its out in the garage in a box right now.

I hadn't realized that "public ridicule" was a legal concept.

Anyway...there is no law, that I know of...that says you can't take any photos you want to in public places.

Perhaps...since this took place inside a Superior Courthouse....other laws may apply?
  15. Smurf

    Smurf Gold Meritorious SP

The public courthouse is public. But, posting this guy's photo in the LA Weekly or Craigslist could potentially subject Karen to legal action.

Public Court House is public....but there are all kinds of different laws that apply in a Court House....compared to a true public area.

For cannot eat in a Court Room. One cannot read a newspaper while sitting in a Court's public examples.

And I doubt that there is a Court House in the US today....that you don't have to go through Security,,,,and empty your pockets to get into....

I thought they might have a law about cameras in a Court House.

I am sure if some undercover Police officers were in Court testifying.....that they wouldn't want their pics taken...

    That's right Smurf.

In the real world, there's a requirement before people take you seriously.

    It's called "proof".

    1. evidence sufficient to establish a thing as true, or to produce belief in its truth.

What would be the sense in arguing that since there's no proof ( that I'm currently aware of ) that he took pictures in a Superior Courthouse?

Provide the proof he took the pictures in a Superior Courthouse then go from there.

A presiding judge can issue an order preventing any photography or media in the courthouse. Of course, any judicial order can be appealed, and has by the media in the past.

"The media order may encompass the courtroom, the courthouse, and the courthouse’ it's entrances and exits. Also, the order may incorporate any local rule or order of the presiding or supervising judge regulating media activity outside of the courtroom. (See rule 980(e)(4)."

Please don't encourage you-know-who on this thread. :)

Sorry guys, I do not recognize him either. He may be an OT Committee member doing his bit.
