OT IX & X

A recently received flyer (guess I'm not on that SP list yet) says:

"The time for waiting is past. THE TIME IS NOW! You may qualify to be a part of the elite team that will be delivering New OT IX and X. Contact the Sea Org Recruitment Officer on the Freewinds."

Sounds like they're ready to release them. Anyone with any news on when? And what they're likely to contain?

Hi Snuffy (nice Avatar!)

I estimate they will be released yet year. That seems fairly likely considering the Freewinds is (or very soon will be) in dry dock getting a complete reno to make it its own "Ideal Org" as was shown at one of the last MV events.

Of course the requierments for IX and X were long ago stated to be all Class V orgs to St. Hill size, but what many Scns don't realize is that requierment has been quietly changed by changing the definition of what "St. Hill Size" actually is. If you can't make the grade you can always lower the bar. The new "St. Hill Size Orgs" do not in fact meet the size and delivery criteria as given in the "How Big Was Old St. Hill" booklet many ex-staff are not doubt framiliar with. For example, I have seen a "St. Hill Sized Ideal Org" that is at about 30% to 50% of actual St. Hill Size.

It is clear the intention is to get many more Orgs up to this point, make them "Ideal Orgs" with opulent buildings (but a dirth of new public and not making any auditors in any real quantity whatsoever) and declare them "St. Hill Sized". Then management can say "It is obvious now with three Dozen Ideal Orgs that we have the successfull action on making them. Those that are not soon will be. It is clear. Therefore the requerment that Scn be stable and expanding with St. Hill Size Orgs and cause over its environment has been met." Thus they can justify releasing IX and X.

Of course this is very similar to what occured with the training prereqs. for IX and X. They originally were Grad V with various Tesh Specialist courses. This was also seen as a way to get OTs more active as auditors and in general and ensure they were also very well trained for IX and X. The GAT for OTs in 1998 eliminated that requierment. There are now additional training prereqs for IX and X - just the existing GAT line up. So now you have OT VIIs and VIIIs who still have ZERO experience auditing others nor desire to do so. I can't imagine being OT VIII and not being an actual auditor with experience.

Of course with the St. Hill requierment for the release of IX and X - there is no evidence LRH ever stated that for their release. The requierments have changed several times so one can conclude there was never anything difinitive written in the first place. However, this subverting the definition of St. Hill Size is a major outpoint - it's just all PR. It would be better to just say Ron never said that - but then that would mean . . .

But the Church has to do something - next year will be 20 years since VIII was released. People are getting sick of waiting for it. (The 20th anniversary sure makes a nice PR point to release IX and X too, especially with a nifty new "Ideal Org" ship.)

And one can do the math on how long it will take to get 10,000 OT VIIs through a three to four week action in a course room holding less than a hundred. The back log would be for years. (Assuming there will be 10,000 ready. Last figure I knew from last year was there were 5,000 done with GAT VII or on it.)

Alas, what will Scn's think a few years from now when there are these sprawling "Ideal Orgs" staffed with green kids - no auditors being made - no real Div 6 new blood coming in - the field having paid MILLIONS for the buildings - the quality of sup'ing less worst its been in years. Huge mostly empty buildings with Scn's on Div 6 courses. They might even ask themselves "If there are 10 Million Scientologists, how come there are not more new people on course?"

NO ORG is ideal where the staff are not at least modestly paid. I don't think the public will not see that factor at least. Staff still in poverty in a building the public paid for? Hummmm . . .

But then again you never can tell what someone will or won't decide to see . . .

OT IX and X

At the release event of the "Responsibility and the State of OT" tape set, Ray Mithoff asked the crowd if we wanted to know what was on OT IX and X? The crowd said "yes!". He held up the tapes, and said listen to these tapes. I did the long course, with many clay demos, at Flag when the Freewinds came ashore in Oct. 2004, during drydock. There is one tape, called "The Rule of the Weak Valence" which contains what LRH says is THE way you rehabilitate an OT. It is in black and white, and impossible to miss, if you are looking for IX and X. It correlates with Orders of Magnitude and Character, totally. That tape , coincidentally, is missing from most Qual library sets you will see. I happen to have a complete set for sale....with transcripts. If you are interested , contact me privately. MIke

Way to use the Mystery Sandwich to get the sale, Mike!

If anyone's interested in a left-handed Mark VI, PM me, too.

Nice analysis of the situation COB. I'll take a stab and say the release of IX & X will happen soon than later and will justify the release of the new meter.

But let's keep this in perspective, wondering about the new levels is like wondering what Santa will bring this year.

COB,

That is a very good situation analysis. The goal of OT is getting real stale in the church and despite of years of "let's get every org up to the size of old Saint Hill," it's nowhere near. Yes, a new excuse is needed to release these levels and exhume the interest in OT levels.

Maybe it is time for us to jump on the band wagon and start advertising them broadly, to support this new and vital trend? What were the names, awareness characteristics and abilities gained for these grades again?

If OT VIII creates a "baby OT" then will OT IX and OT X create small OTs with some OT powers? Or will it be more people with lit up smiles gushing nonsense in Success Stories?

My guess would be lit up smiles :cloud9: gushing nonsense :blah:. But to assert that must mean that I'm an SP :nazi:.

OT 10

At the LRH death event in early 1986, Pat Broeker held up a worksheet from an LRH OT 10 session, with top and bottom blacked out, but with a date showing. The date was (blank) years ago. The number had several rows of zeroes in groups of threes, like this 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 row after row, and it got a "wow" or "ahhhhh" out of the crowd. Big number. So, there will be some dating involved. EM- 25 for those of you who know what that is. My guess is, incidents where the person adopted a weak valence in order to solve a problem.

LRH research for OT IX on up

Speaking of events, one of the Maiden Voyage event OT summits of the recent years had a section to the OT Ambassadors (Possibly not part of the public event -- I saw it at Int) where DM showed photos of the research for OT IX all the way to the top from Archives. Two filing cabinets full of LRH "research" on these levels. Obvious reason was to DA any rumors that these levels may not exists, as well as pump up the current OT VIIIs to do more. So we can say for sure that there are two filing cabinets in existence. Whether they contain any such research is yet another question.

I remember seeing that on video tape. The "Show them a big date" angle. It works every time. All the "oohs!" and "ahs!"

Take these same "ooh!" and "ah!" people, and attach them to an e-meter, and watch the Tone Arm blow down - followed by more "oohs!" and "ahs!" - followed by a TA blow down at the sight of the first blow down, etc., etc., and, then, an almost inevitable floating needle.

And more "Oohs!" and "Ahs!"

As one who does think there is some validity to the basic function of auditing, and the limited use of the e-meter (that is, after all, 1/4 of a polygraph), I've grown accustomed to the "ooh!" and "ah!" people, and their capacity to make look ridiculous any activity, even if that activity has some validity.

Of course, some "ooh!" and "ah!" people are more sophisticated than others, and these have been known to wear big yellow clip on buttons that say, "I think for myself."

And this would be bad enough, if it weren't for the "It's all crap!" people. But I'm growing accustomed to them too.

Wouldnt it be possible, once you are OTVIII or above, to find out yourself what you got to do, independent from what LRH wrote about it?

What ingratitude.

The Mighty Thetan El Ron has offered his giant pink hand for you to hold as you walk into the rippling waves of All Eternity.

Grasp tightly and walk forward, proudly and with total certainty!

Remember, an "OT 8" is only a "baby OT."

Actually I know what is in those two filing cabinets!

It is the research lists of LRH, based upon the self listing question!

"Why am I so fucked up?"

His body died before he found the answer.

He is still listing. (Apparently it is a very, very, very long list, with 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 row after row of items!)
