Are you inferring that a Hubbardite can posses good sense? What are the org and mission options in the valley of silicon? How are they fairing?

So where does the active Silicon Valley Hubbardite go for succor-I mean service?

I am assuming that you mean this:

but if you meant a place to buy your "Basics" package:

There are several places: The Lundy Rd place on the Eat Side over near the Flea Market called Stevens Creek Org because of where it was 30 years ago, the Mountain View Org on Easy St near Central Expressway, The "Los Gatos" Org on Saratoga Ave in San Jose, and The Co$ of Silicon Valley which has 3 units in a dilapidated old medical dental building just north of Willow Glen.

If you're looking for a personally safe and friendly place, I recommend the last one. When the SO came through, one day that I was there, the gal who runs it ended up crying her eyes out. She obviously isn't made to be mean spirited. Her parents, Chuck and Donna Guzzetta were "in" in the late 60s. They are a nice family.

The Los Gatos Org, which started in my living room in Willow Glen around 1971 is still going strong. I had ten people on my first comm course the very first night back then. They easily have ten people on all their courses every night. In addition, the Squirrel Busters ringleader, John Allender, hangs out there. If you want to rub shoulders with a real celebrity, go to Los Gatos. Maybe you, too, could be invited on a mission to ring Marty's doorbell.

The Mountain View Org also known as the "Out 2D Org" (literally throughout Scientology) is a good place with lots of nice people. If you want to trade mates, you might want to be on lines there.

Real Scientologists, of course go to the Freewinds.

I've been by Redwood City mission a few times over the last year when I happened to turn down that street (now mostly closed off due to Kaiser expansion).

Never seen it open.

I think it's hilarious that the HMO/Hospital's expanding but the mission is not, especially given Scientology's rhetoric about illness. You'd think they have a captive audience there.

So Carmello You sure are gutsy to walk in and say hello. What do you do when you visit these places?

Do you Just ask how things are and listen. If you are asked if you want to hear a intro lecture what do you say? Or do you just say something like;

I'm just in the area visiting. I'm a friendly OT just driving by, curious how things are going for you.....

Sheesh things are really slowing down aren't they?........... How much more do you have to go before the Ideal Org can be purchased? ..........Where do you think people went? ....................It must be the economy huh? ..................... Well have a nice day

I walk in these places with friends, who are in or to see friends working or on course.

When I was 15, I went with my 17 year old girl friend, both of us long haired blonde hippies, to see Mr. Dynamite, himself, James Browwn!!!!

We were the only honkies in the building.

Being friendly and purposeful goes a long way in calming waters.

When I walked away from the Co$ in 1976, I just stopped showing up. We didn't make a big announcement. It wasn't a big deal. Consequently, my friends are still my friends.

Latest I heard was the Palo Alto Mission was moved to or absorbed by San Jose.

I couldn't find out any specifics: did they got to the org or to another mission or what...just that they moved to SJ.
This while the last space on Grant in PA was being emptied, a few days ago.

If you want to see Allender's mission, just look for the half demolished building; it's a landmark. Just to the left is his mission on Winchester.

No, the Pink Poodle is elsewhere, not that I've ever gone in. 826 N. Winchester Blvd. Suite 1, San Jose, CA, 95128 is John's dump.

If you're driving from Santa Clara to Santana Row on Winchester, it's on the lefthand side of the street.

Ok like yer headed towards Lost Gladys. I'm not familliar with the term Sanatana Row I left the Santa Clara area in 79.:)

What??? You never been to the Pink Poodle?? I went only one time with about 5 friends. I thought every San Jose boy had to go to the Pink Poodle, It was a rite of passage, I stayed about 5 minutes to finish a beer, and snuck out the front door, I was sooo shy. Scientology didn't help me with that, But, I did put a brass pole and a trapeeze in my bedroom for the girlfriend. That went over like a turd in the punchbowl. Needless to say that 2D didnt last too long... lol Sheesh some women are soo repressed. It coulda been fun. :)

Oh My Scientologists dancing nearly nekkid for money?? Why didn't you tell me? Oh yeah I was 18. And when the "People" band came in there wasnt a lot of study space for a newbie wannabe shy comcourse dude.

I did my Life repair there at McKinley in August or September 1969, or was it 70?
Jeanine Clark was my auditor. She was married to Garison Clark. She blew me out after an hour on CCHs.

Was Donna a bubbly blond?

Donna was a flat chested pretty sweet short haired brunette. She lived with Mike Zapponi.

Whatever happened to Janine (spelling?) and Garrison?

They have been off my radar for decades.

I think Janine taught at my wife's school.

Garrison sold the pasty business around 1980.

The last time I saw him was at a poker game at my house around then.

His mom, Margo, who drove a white bathtub Porsche, joined the SO. She died in the 1980s I think. She wasn't that old.
