I wish someone had spoken to me like I spoke to Vinaire when I first got into Scientology.

Letting a person decieve themselves as much as Vinnaire does, or worse, trying to decieve others into believing one is enlightened and scientific, is not doing anyone any favors.

Well AJ, it's been a while since I first read Vinaire's post, then read your response to his post and then followed with my response to your response to Vinaire's post. lol.

And now I get it. I understand what you're saying. I went back and re-read the progression to do so.

To answer your question above, no I would not in any way shape or form tell members they should have let Hubbard be himself in regard to his self-declared, spiritually-pronounced, quasi-intellectual scientific brilliance which self-declaration (and self-delusion) was designed at some level to merely enslave, those that sincerely believed. Thus your point is well made and well taken.

On the other hand I cannot bring myself to believe the spirit of Hubbard and the spirit of Vinaire are cut of the same cloth, so to speak. And by the word spirit I simply mean being.

The motives of the former being unlike anything of the motives of the later. I believe. Thus I believe V is worth being afforded the dignity of one whom is innocently (emotionally) though arrogantly (intellectually) speculating as to what the fucks going on. So to speak. In the absence of an evil motive. Which leaves the sin of being 'spiritually annoying'. Lol.

Hell we're all spiritually annoying in the right company.

To which I say,,,,,,there is a huge philosophical distinction between consciously letting a person deceive themselves and consciously letting a person deceive another. Huge distinction. Which distinction it seems to me you do not make (emotionally). Or make meaningful (intellectually). Which is understandable to be sure.

However, the way I see it is 'being deceived' is a necessary part of being human, as a matter of practical human fact (if one is to hope to grow or expand in the science of understanding whats real and or true) lol. If I err here please correct me. Show me one human being in all of humanity that has not experienced 'being lied to' and I will lay down my pen forever AJ. Ok, so that's just a figure of speech. Lol. But the point remains the same. A deceiver is powerless in the presence of one that is not deceivable. And V's not trying to deceive anyone, let alone you or I. He's merely stating his constructions considerations and conclusions. Not worthy of an emotional lashing. Even if an intellectual spanking is called for.

I think if you follow his posts you can see that it is much more than that. There is a lot of self-convincing going on, which is really difficult to watch at times. Like I said earlier, it is almost like watching someone drown themselves in slow motion while everyone can only sit back watching in horror.

Well, I've read one hell of a lot of V's posts along with numerous of his essays and while I share your interpretation of his seemingly 'self-convincing' style of writing (which appears as authoritative to the point of being annoying) I just can't seem to equate that with the reaction you equate it with, being namely, 'watching someone drown themselves in slow motion while everyone can only sit back watching in horror'. Lol.

Now perhaps I am sick, lol, but I will confess that line of yours cracks me up.

I can assure you V is not drowning and no one reading his take on 3-dimensional reality is reading his prose in 'horror'. Disagreement? for some for sure. Disgust? for others, yes. But HORROR?!! Lol!!! no way Jose.

It seems to me his insistence on employing Hubbardarian lingo to his writings and then placing that particular lingo here on the ESMB is the primary instigator of certain discomfort/s in the heart & mind of certain readers. Understandably so, to be sure.

Semiticism is very similar to Hubbardianism. I don't think you all will ever be able to distance yourself from Hubbardianism unless you also distance yourself from Semiticism.

Make an effort to understand what Vedas are based on.

The five essays linked in the OP describe the fundamentals of the Vedas. I haven't seen a single person here comment on those essays. You are just engaged in frivolous chatter among yourselves.
