PLEASE ANSWER QUICKLY!! I WANT TO LEAVE!!

I feel like i am being used to do degrading work for NO PAY at all. And even though I work every single day without any pay they still demand that I donate to IAS etc.
Also I found out that some of the tech is simply is not working. I get sick and have to get a useless PTS handling.
I can not take that we are treating LRH like a god. Celebrating him all the time. Clapping at him after everything we do.
I want to go back to school and get myself an education and live my life.

Can you please help me??? I want to get out. And I want to get out NOW.
Is there any way to get out nicely? Without upsetting people? How?
Please help.

You remind me so much of myself at your age. I was given no end of conditions and PTS handlings. It was a pile of rubbish. The cults staff are brilliant at making people feel guilty for leaving. I was fool enough to stay on staff for years .. which should have been the years spent at University. Yes the tech appeared to be mind blowingly amazing at times. But only with maturity did I learn that it was all ego driven, space opera. I used to get a bad feeling when I even walked past LRHs photo. I should have kept to my gut instincts. For many years after leaving the cult I had to catch up financially and with proper education. I also felt almost like a degraded being working all day for no money and then expected to study at night. I could hardly feed or clothe myself or pay rent. I felt such a sense of unworthiness.

Look at it this way. Probably in the next several years many of the friends who you have made in the Org will blow, join SO then blow, be declared, route off, complete contracts then disappear. I would say less than 10% of the many people who were super dedicated are still in. About 90% will probably wake up to themselves, and this is a good thing. Please realistically look at what case gain you have made and how your life is better through Scn tech. I bet it adds up to zero or below.

Beam me up Scotty
I chose this name to reflect the crazy space opera, from Star trek. Scientolgoy is nothing but a con and young gullible people are the chief target.

PLEASE HELP I WANT TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW.
Here is some data about my situation:
I am 19 years old and is staff in a european Org. I have been on staff for about 1 and a half year now

Forgot to mention - You were under 18 when you signed the first contract - So I would seriously doubt that it could be counted as a binding legal contract in case you are worried about a freeloader bill.

That's a good point. While the law may be different in whichever EU country the contract was signed in, many contracts with minors are unenforceable. Realistically, staff contracts and freeloader bills are almost certainly unenforceable even for adults.

Well ... good. I just remained myself, without the TR brainwashing and left. I didn't even use the word TR or any other cult lingo. I just left, because after all, it's just a useless overpriced class to take, built on bullshit. I can easily say fuck you, without scientology telling me how to say what I feel. Also, screw scientology.

I never meant to suggest the TRs class was in anyway close to being worth what a person would pay for it. Nor do I think people should try to keep TRs in everyday, in every conversation. That would make someone robotic, but every so often they can be a nice tool.

Have they ever actually been successful in legally enforcing a freeloader bill anywhere?

I have never heard of them doing that here in Sweden, though there is of course a lot that I don't know. And I did read in some newspaper a year or two ago about a guy who used to be staff many years ago, left the CoS and now suddenly received a letter asking him to pay. When he went to the press, the org very quickly withdrew their claim and said something about an unintentional mistake - unfortunately I just can't find that article right now.

As far as I know - No. But I know that many people leaving the church has been worried about the freeloader bill - And all of the other crap you sign.

They rely on ex-staff thinking it's enforceable. If it ever got in front of a jury, and there was a counter claim over back salary, the jury would likely rule that the org should pay the staff member.

I don't think think that breaking a billion year contract with a manipulative cult is legally binding in any country in this planet. Regardless of 10 year contracts subsequently signed, show a judge the billion year contract and that is the end of it. Any lawyer or judge would just rip it up laughing. No one owes the church anything. They know they break every labour law in every country, they couldn't pursue a break of contract or freeloader bill legally it's tosh, bollocks, codswallop and balderdash.

Because you're always trying to invalidate comments of others that don't coincide with what you believe?

Not really. I support all criticism of Scn, whether I agree with it or not. Always have since I got unindoctrinated on a.r.s. However, like you, I do reserve the right to indicate disagreement. If that's not ok, then, well, I guess you can't do it either.

From what I can see- and remembering back, too- it seems that the ones most concerned about the fl bills are those who are interested in rejoining the cult. This is held over anyone who is trying to get back in.

Perhaps some people who don't want to do any Scn anymore- who just want out- also worry about it. I didn't think so but ya neer know. But, as was previously stated, it's not legally enforceable and don't give the cult one red cent.

Tell them YOU were actually absent the day the contract was signed. Bill, who is the jokester of the group, does crazy shit like that. Then proceed to have an argument with yourself a la "Me, Myself and Irene" if you know what I mean.

They are NOT the authorities on mental issues. In fact they are as clueless as they are useless when it comes to mental health issues. You'll be shown the door immediately.

And if they tried to enforce it legally and failed, then people who had paid it in the past could possibly take action......? Several kinds of legal entheta for COS could follow from that.

I just saw that the Church of Scientology International posted a link on their Facebook site a few minutes ago. Human right number 23. I quote: "Everyone of age has the right to hold a job, to a fair wage for their work, and the right to join a union.". This is amazing :(

So I left for good today. I spoke with my telephone company today, and they will change my phone number tomorrow. I am going to stay out of the country for a while. I am also going to write them an official letter of resignation that I will send tomorrow. (with no return
address of course).

Many things make much more sense now. We have been told that every other org on the planet is making their stats go to the stars, and that we are one of the only ones that is not. I read on Mike Rinders blog today about the "idle" Orgs. Very informative.

Thank you so much for your support and interest. I really appreciate it! :)
I will let you know how things turn out :)

Good job! In some aspects I'll bet you felt it took a lot of courage, in some others, you might be surprised you let yourself think you were stuck in the situation. Funny how that mind trip works.

It would be worthwhile to consider a bit on what might happen next. From what I gathered, you were a pretty important statistic for many people. To what degree, you might find out depending on how much effort is put into trying to "recover" you. In my own case, there were too many people with a dirty conscience to make them really come after me hard, and I was pretty important to someone's stats in my own org. This might not be the case with you, so you're going to have to make yourself to some degree "unconfrontable" to anyone wanting to recover you. If you want the Sea Org off your back, you might consider the idea of "forgotten that you took LSD, Angel Dust" or some such thing. You might come straight out and state you support Freezone, or Independent Scn (if you want to stay active in the subject - not recommended, but it is an option for you). Etc.

My personal favorite option is simply to call out the bull crap. You feel the church should make a full accounting of the donations it solicits, or asking about what happened to International Management, why are all the Ideal Orgs so empty, and the tons of other examples that exist out there regarding actual real situations that the church is trying to hide and keep people from knowing. I mean, the truth is the truth. You seem to have a knack for finding it, nothing wrong with standing behind it.

Mainly, I'm just saying, if and when you ever have to deal with someone trying to get you back, simply have already in place what caused you to just walk away, whatever it is. Be ready, for your own satisfaction than anything, to stand behind what you are now looking to do (whatever that is) as a replacement for what pushed you to join staff already, and stick to it. You really already did the hard part, you looked behind the bull and saw the truth. The rest is just basically another person protesting their own inability to see truth for themselves. You can feel sorry for them if you like, I guess.

But really, keep us all posted on how you're doing as you go, and welcome to the light.

The covenant is not even remotely enforcable. I know of a case where several people hit Job and Family Services with complaints about their pay and Legal (OSA) made the orgs pay them regardless. It was pretty funny to see. That's not a fight they want to get into. The only real enforcement is the hope that the person leaving wants to continue doing Scn. Then they have to pay it back to continue doing it. Several ex staff turned public got suckered in that game.

She's "blowing" because she has an MU. Just find that nasty misunderstood word and she'll be fine.

There are still people believing that?:melodramatic:

[...] on one night in 1974 I found myself in David Mayo's office in the tween decks of the Apollo.
It was very late or early in the morning. We were ,I believe in the port of Safi, Morrocco. A student of mine, I was currently D of T and Mayo was Flag Snr C/S, had blown. Hubbard was extremely angry with us due to this blown student of mine on the FEBC program. In an attempt to show Hubbard what we had done to handle this guy we collected up all the sec checking that he had received over the last 2 months, it had been a lot poor guy, and presented it to him along with an outline of this student's progress on the courses he had taken. We had also wanted to show him how we had been careful that he hadn't gone by misunderstoods, etc.

We waited and waited and about 0300 hrs a messenger came down with a Despatch written by LRH. My memory does not recall any folders being returned. The dispatch was entitled Very Confidential underlined. "He went onto say that if you or Franks ever reveal any of this information that I am about to reveal, the consequences will be severe for SCN."
He then wrote:
"A person does not blow due Overts or Witholds. He blows only due to ARC BKs.
However, if any of this information ever became public, I would lose all control of the orgs and eventually Scientology as a whole.
LRH"
Both Mayo and me looked at one another completely incredulously. I cannot speak for Dave but I was completely flabbergasted as I realized at that point of digestion that he is talking about something that 75-80% of the tech is premised upon. Furthermore, the OEC/FEBC was currently anchored by the latest" development" at the time -being the L's, L-10,11, & 12.which for tose who don't know is about OW's. I don't believe Mayo or I talked about this again until we were out where I saw him at his auditing facility in Montecito, California in 1983. I believed we were a bit shell shocked about this.
As for me, I began to see more and more that scientology was merely a big prison camp. I stayed in for another 7 plus years but I was always mindful of this and always had in mind changing this "tech". I believe it is the key to what we have all seen and experienced as brainwashing.
[...]
Bill Franks

A good analysis:

[...] what Bill F has revealed here (and he has posted it on his FaceBook) is a further devastating nail in the coffin of Hubbard's credibility and a further colossal proof of his manipulative dishonesty and deceit.

The revelation that ARCX's causes blows is no revelation . . . . go back to '63 and '64 and R2H and the use of ARCX Repair lists  Recall Alan's Opening Pandora's Box thread where Alan relates how folks were blowing the SHSBC due to BPC/ARCX's. Relate this to Hubbard's '63 datum "that all ARCX's are caused by BPC."

What is shocking here is the, again, another instance of Hubbard deceit, lies and manipulation of truth and people in a destructive manner.

[...] This new truth reveled by Bill is another important piece of the puzzle . . . and indeed, it will likely bring some relief to many folks who'd been constantly given wrong whys/whats/indications and had bum tech run on them!

The whole tread is here at ESMB started by that Swedish guy Per-Olof Samuelsson!

Hey guys. I have a question. And by the way thank you so much for the support. :)
I am out now and have no intention of going back.
But I feel that I betrayed a lot of people in my ORG.. Some of you probably know what I am talking about?
Do you what is the best way to handle this? Because I feel like I just keep thinking about this.

Thank you.

Well, which people and how do you think you betrayed them? Most people leaving a job do not see that as betraying anyone else. Most people leaving a religion do not see that as betraying anyone else.
