Hi, John. Thanks for responding. I was, after I left CofS, into the freezone and was an Indie- and even came up with that term, which later went viral. Though I would guess that someone else would have come up with it eventually. So I've been there. I studied Scn in CofS. I studied it outside of CofS. Although not all non CofS Scientologists believe that the writings and other works of Hubbard are fine and that the problem is only David Miscavige, still, obviously, quite a few of them do think that. I never ever thought that, even when I was studying in the Freezone. I liked doing that, I don't regret it, and I wouldn't rule out getting auditing again though I no longer consider myself to be a Scientologist. So no bad experiences here, really, tech wise. But as I mention, I have never thought that everything was just peachy til DM took over. There are a lot of not very nice things in Hubbard's writings. Not reporting PTSness is a crime. Freeloader debts. The RPF. The RPF's RPF. Having to be on a routing form to get to leave staff. (No one should EVER have to ask to leave.) He did overboarding. All kinds of stuff. I do think that DM is worse than Hubbard in many respects, but, to me, he took an already bad situation and made it worse. As for the "tech", I think parts of it are better than other parts of it and that each person should decide for him or herself. There is no "tech" after Hubbard stopped writing it. Anything that's really tech or policy is stuff he authored, the good, the bad, the ugly, the true and the false. Anything DM came up with is stuff DM came up with. That being said, I do not let Hubbard off the hook. With all his wittering about destroying enemies and disconnection and freeloader debts and treatment of staff and reporting on people and RPFing people and heads on a pike, he's got a lot to answer for. I don't think it's mitigated by the techniques such as word clearing, TRs and auditing- all of which I think have helped some people (though not to the extent claimed). The reason I say this is that there's been a lot of suffering at the hands of Hubbard, Mary Sue and people working for them, past and present. Miss Wog isn't applying any tech. She's posting on a forum. Just like you and me.
