Proof that John Travolta is Immortal

Maybe it's not so ridiculous. On page 247 of The Holographic Universe (there's a copy on Scribd), the author reports a private conversation he had with Dr. Joel Whitton, a professor of psychiatry at the University of Toronto Medical School, who for several decades researched past-lives and the between-lives area in patients through hypnosis.

At first the bodies Whitton's subjects assumed resembled the persons they had been in their last life. But as their experience in the between-life state continued, they gradually became a kind of hologram-like composite of all of their past lives.

Elsewhere there is mention of a person's present body looking similar to past bodies, and if one accepts that the form (not the general structure common to virtually every human being of the same sex) of one's physical body is based on a more subtle template, itself generated from an ultimately-formless spiritual entity, it could well be that one's series of bodies on Earth bear some marked resemblance to each other.
