Before The Matrix, in the late 1970's, "Star Wars" was very popular. We were living in a universe where the Empire had won. OT's were the Jedi. And so on.

Scientologists think they are being unplugged from the evils of society, the pyschs, Xemu, hypnosis, engrams, secondaries and locks, etc. All explained (or evaluated or what to think) by Hubbard, and yet every new person who enters scientology is being plugged into a machine, or org board devised by Hubbard, called scientology.
