Transcript of the first video:

In 1974, the US Senate published a report that likened the methods of a juvenile rehab program to the North Korean brainwashing methods used on captured Americans.

The program was called "THE SEED".

The Seed was funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (at the time called HEW) and, subsequently, The Seed lost its funding.

Other groups who used coercive persuasion techniques like Synanon, were funded by State and Federal means or by tax exemption.

What does this have to do with Scientology, which I normally talk about here?

In 1963, L Ron Hubbard wrote a training routine, still in use today by Scientology, called "DEAR ALICE", allegedly to communicate better.

This technique was described in the KUBARK Counterintelligence Interrogation Manual.

In the KUBARK Manual, the verbal technique is used "to confuse a person by overloading the brain with ideas that do not make sense, and the person will begin to talk to overcome the confusion that assails him." It is an interrogation method.

The question today is, why does Scientology use CIA interrogation techniques as a charitable activity?

Let’s remember, Scientology is 501(c) tax exempt.

Scientology runs similar rehab front groups called Narconon and Criminon, which also use interrogation techniques.

Within the last few weeks, Scientology materials have been called, "extremist," and banned in Russia. Until now, we were using Russia as our bastion of Free Speech because our videos would stay up there.

That brings the question of how many children in Riverside County are receiving help from L. Ron Hubbard under the guise of Applied Scholastics, or A Plus Educational, or other front groups?

No child should be left behind when Scientology is involved in tutoring or teaching within the public school system.

We do not want our children to be indoctrinated by a group who uses subversive tactics.

We call for an evaluation of materials by the Riverside County Board of Education and the State and Federal authorities who oversee California.

By the way, who funds the politicians that approve this?

Well, Mr. Stone, there was, on Friday April 23rd, a fundraiser by Sue and Bob McFarlane, a mile and a half from the Big Blue Scientology building in L.A., and these are heavy donors to Scientology: a quarter of a million dollars to the IAS; another OT8 that was there: $40,000. There was also a big email campaign by Lucy Cole just yesterday, another longtime Scientologist.

Synanon
Straight Incorporated - Capitalizing on Communism
"The Light on Synanon Synanites met with Scientologists (who have their own church-related drug rehab program called Narconon) in the
1970s to discuss common issues..." in 1974 both houses of the US Congress had investigated The Seed and produced critical reports with the US Senate likening Barker's methods to the brainwashing methods employed on American POWs by North Korean Communists. The Senate forced NIDA to require Seed clients to sign a "risk to human subjects" form as required by NIDA's own policy for grants involving human experimentation. Barker balked at this and lost his bid for an additional federal grant for expansion.

The KUBARK Manual was a training manual used in Latin America by the School of the Americas. The unstated aim of the manuals is to train Latin American militaries to identify and suppress anti- government movements.

Way to Happiness Foundation
This booklet is distributed to school children as a secular book of tenets to follow for a happier life. Its main goals are to get these booklets into the hands of our kids, and get L. Ron Hubbard's name out there.

Child Dianetics: Don't Trust this Man with Your Children

In 1951 L. Ron Hubbard wrote a book entitled Child Dianetics: Dianetic Processing for Children. Actually, "wrote" is not quite the correct word; compiled would be more accurate. It's a short work derived from his earlier writings, his lectures, and the work and research of uncredited others. (Apparently the 1951 edition's first page included a list of "thank you"s but this page has been removed from subsequent editions.)

Here are a few gems from Child Dianetics:

How would you like to be pulled and hauled and ordered about and restrained from whatever you wanted to do? You'd resent it. The only reason a child "doesn't" resent it is because he is small. You'd half murder somebody who treated you, an adult, with orders, contradiction and the disrespect given to the average child. The child doesn't strike back because he isn't big enough..." (page 10)

Care for a child? - nonsense! He's probably got a better grasp of immediate situations than you have. Only when he's almost psychotic with aberration will a child be accident prone" (page 15 -16)

A child is perfectly logical. (page 48)

Grandparents should not be permitted in the home of their grandchildren until they have learned to behave themselves Dianetically. (page 48 - yet the Church of Scientology denies that they "disconnect" families...)

LRH didn't think of children as children. To him, they were already immeasurably old Thetans trapped in not-yet-adult bodies (though this book was compiled before the Thetan concepts of Scientology were fully developed). Children didn't need to be corrected or restrained or disciplined. Just loved. LRH encouraged parents to let their children be fully "self-determined."
