Ron's big change.

Ok so Ron studied Freud. He read that a weak father figure and a strong dominant mother produce a homosexual son.

His own son Quentin was gay, a fact that Ron hated.

Did he hate the fact because it meant by Freudian logic that he was a weak and pathetic father, that Mary Sue was bigger than him?

Was this the point when Ron really became a tyrant, was this the big turning point, or was he always an overpowering meglamaniac?

Perhaps he was gay or perhaps he wasn't. Hubbard was already nuts long before this. There just wasn't an internet to expose him. From some of the accounts I've read it sounds like Hubbard and Quentin were not getting along and this was driving LRH up a wall. After all this was his third marriage and with all the great tech at his disposal one would think his family would be one of the most loving ones on this planet.

This might have some merit, though I only skimmed it. from the sources I read, he always had the tendencies, and something may have triggered it into fullblown megalomania. My guess would be the initial acquisition of power at the beginning of dianetics, if this were the case.

Every time I read the affirmations I know more and more how crazy that SOB hubbard really was. And how weak.

the last time I talked to Hubbard was in Curacao,
Netherlands Antilles in 1974, on the quarterdeck of the Apollo, he was
shaking so bad it looked like he was going to have an epileptic
seizure, his speech was slurred and practically unintelligible.
I
know he was trying to tell me something about the clouds and the day's
photo-shoot, but he just couldn't manage to get it out.

He was just recovering from having a golf-ball sized cyst removed from
the middle of his forehead, which he hid from everyone with his hats.

Kima Douglas told me later that she and Mary Sue forced him to get rid
of it. Have you ever read Andre Tabayoyan's Deflation in the Church
of Scientology v. Fisham/Geertz case? I mean I knew the old man was
bad off, but Andre was his butler, and between what he and Kima say
about Ron's medication, he was practically popping pills like M & M's
every day. I just can't imagine what he must have been like six years
later. I imagine pathetic, for the founder of the greatest techniques
in the entire agonizing history of mankind for physical and spiritual
well being, the Sciences of Dianetics and Scientology!

Ron's Affirmations

I don't think Ron's Affirmations/Admissions are off-topic here. I tried to find a thread devoted to them and didn't. Let me know if there is one, please.

Okay, I read (most) of them on the pdf Zinjifar cited. I feel sorry for LRH, based on the many fears and weaknesses he felt he had. I never thought I'd say THAT!

The sex stuff is also pretty standard, don't you think? If I wrote down all my sexual fears and hopes when I was in my thirties, it'd be some read! Sex is a big deal when we're young and frisky. He sounds like a misogynist, though.

On the other hand, the affirmations about enormous power over others, etc., are disturbing. Even to "wish" for these things is a bit creepy, but to affirm that all people will believe and obey you, etc., is nuts. Didn't he ever read The Midas Touch or see an episode of The Twilight Zone? Human beings need to be a little more humble.

I think affirmations can help reprogram our brains if we have a tendency to think negatively and need to balance that with positive thoughts. I also think my affirmations have gotten my subconscious involved in helping my conscious mind devise solutions to my needs. But I can't prove that, so it's kind of a moot point.

Isn't it interesting how LRH blamed everything on others? Then he writes a whole philosophy about "taking responsibility for your case." Does anyone think he finally took responsibility for his? Maybe all of Scientology was his way of healing himself by teaching others stuff he thought he should do himself?

Here is something scientology does not want anyone to see...

Hubbard's admissions had been chased off the net by scientology... so I webbed them and the chief psychiatrist of a clinic reviewed them!!! and permission was asked of and given so I could web them for you guys

There is little question about LRH suffering from paranoic
schizophrenia
Ulf Brettstam
Senior psychiatrist

The organization clearly is schizophrenic and paranoid, and this bizarre combination seems to be a reflection of its founder, L.Ron Hubbard."
--Judge Breckenridge, Los Angeles Superior Court

"Justice Latey said that the tactics used by Hubbard and his helpers are
"grimly reminiscent of the ranting and bullying of Hitler and his henchmen".

"She said doctors told her, her husband was suffering from a mental ailment "known as paranoid schizophrenia."
--Wife Sara Northrup Hubbard - LINK

For those so interested, Hitler was also classed as a 'paranoid schizophrenic.' See this one classified, 1943 OSS evaluation of Hitler, go to LINK see page 26
