Russell Miller's Bare-Faced Messiah, Back in Print in February!

We have a stunning announcement to make. Silvertail Books is bringing back into print the book which revealed for the first time the true life story of L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.

Bare-faced Messiah: The True Story of L. Ron Hubbard by Russell Miller was first published in 1987, after a long legal battle between its original publisher, Michael Joseph, and the Church of Scientology. The book’s original US publisher, Henry Holt, became mired in legal problems after a series of lawsuits in the American courts, and the book was never properly published here.

Silvertail publisher Humfrey Hunter bought world English rights through Michael Sissons and Fiona Petheram at PFD. Hunter tells us, “Bare-Faced Messiah was a sensation when it first came out and is every bit as relevant today as it was then. By telling the full, true story of L. Ron Hubbard’s extraordinary life, and calling out the untruths told about it, Russell tells an incredibly colorful story and reveals the origins of Scientology in riveting detail. It’s an astonishing read — your jaw drops on virtually every page.”

This is great news!
While the cult has recycled titles the ex-community has so many other good reads!
That the cult buries people who exercise freedom of speech and the press is what pisses me off the most.
OK, that and disconnection.

I have read many books about Scientology but I have not read this one. i shall get it, read it, and then pass it on to someone else to read.

I hope they use the cover that appeared on the Australian paperback edition...

Ummm, GAT == Golden Age of Truth has returned.

How poetic . . . the cult and its ruling dwarf has done its GATII . . . I think the real version of GAT2 should be let rip also!!:yes:

YAY! I have an original printing from '87. I've read it twice. Once in '87 and last year. GOOD READ folks! This book or the other one, Messiah or Madman, were the first two truthful anti scio books I read after I escaped in '85. It did a real good job answering all those nagging mysterious questions I had when I was stuck in the cult.

Reissuing this book says something about peoples thirst for answers.

Long live the SP's!
