Scientologist sues Altru, claims hospital discriminated against his religion

A former Altru Health System doctor is suing the Grand Forks hospital, claiming it discriminated against him because he practices Scientology.
Dr. Ralph Highshaw, a urologist in Florida, filed the complaint Nov. 20 in the U.S. District Court of North Dakota. Highshaw, who worked for Altru as a urologist from 2013 to 2016, said the hospital "engaged in unlawful employment practices," violated his civil rights, created a hostile work environment, retaliated against him and forced him to resign because of his religion, according to the lawsuit.

"As a direct and proximate result of the defendant's conduct, plaintiff has suffered and continues to suffer emotional distress, humiliation, embarrassment, pain and suffering, loss of wages and benefits, and other serious damages," the lawsuit claims.
The federal lawsuit comes after the North Dakota Department of Labor and Human Rights ruled in late August it could not find evidence Altru discriminated against Highshaw or created a hostile work environment based on his religion, according to department documents. Highshaw filed the claim in January 2017.

Maybe he should just disconnect from them. If he wins the case then the money will be from from SPs - if he spends SP money or DONATES the money he will be PTs and then everyone will have to disconnect from him. The Sciobots, should he consider donating the money to them, will have to refuse.

The good doctor will then be forced to burn the money to keep from being "tainted" by it.

BUT if he drops the case, disconnects from Altru all will be right with the world and he will not have to pay for sec checking... a win win...

But then he will have to apply the tech in the correct way.... I have saved him so much time, money and pain.

He's a scientologist and he claims he suffered "emotional distress, humiliation, embarrassment, pain and suffering, loss of wages and benefits, and other serious damages". Wow. That doesn't say much for scientology tech does it?

Interesting how he feels his being a Scientologist impacted how he was treated by others, yet he doesn’t address the numerous complains about his demeanor towards patients, the fact he’d been cited for deficiencies or was involved in a malpractice lawsuit due to the death of a patient. Then he refused to cooperate in the defense of said lawsuit... yeah I’m sure Scientology & his attending a “religious retreat” in Clearwater was ALL they were concerned with and poor bedside demeanor, surgical errors and complains had NOTHING to do w/the fact they weren’t happy with his performance. <sarcasm font>
