Scientologist's violence at Anonymous pickets

As I am collecting picket reports from around the world I am noticing an increase in apparent violence from Scientologists towards the picketers. I find this incredibly sad and a sign of desperation and frustration.

I will post those reports I find in this thread.

Here is one from Stockholm:

http://forums.enturbulation.org/153-europe/stockholm-incident-21921/
------------------
But really, there's one thing we need to talk about and that was the Scientologist and her friends stealing our pens and my water, tearing our fliers apart, kicking our radio, threatening us and physically attacking me, almost breaking my camera in the process...

We called the police, they arrived and sorted it out kinda. The scientologist herself (the one kicking our radio and threatening us) had gone. The friend that attacked me was still there and I showed the police the video of her hitting my camera (her hand fast towards the lens, then BAM! video over). We didn't want any trouble, and we didn't wanna get the girls in trouble (they were like what, 15-17?). They were just mad and couldn't quite control their anger. I dunno why they got mad... because we were filming them? Sheesh.

Anyway, we all got a bit shaken after that sci-girl kicked the stereo and said stuff like "get the fuck out or I'll get really violent"...

The police were nice though and even though the main antagonist (the sci-girl) left, they couls sort things out with the other girls. We had plenty of pics but the police insisted that we deleted them. And after some discussing, we did.

HOWEVER as I got back home, I noticed I had one single piece of video left from the incident, not much but it's deff something. I thought I deleted it but apparently not. I'll promise to put it up as soon as I've eaten dinner! I also have some videos from the moments after the whole thing, but the camera wasn't in such a good shape after that girl hit it (several times). I'll see what I can deliver, but I know I have a video of one of the attacks on me, even though you don't see too much.

The girl attacking me basically hit my camera several times, grabbed me, shoved me and tried to pinch me (I think, I dunno really what she was doing, something on my upper body anyway).

The funny thing was that after the scientologist kicked the stereo, it worked better than before, the owner claimed. Maybe she made a quick auditing session and cleared it... by kicking it :p

So thank you scientology for once again showing everyone watching that your attacks against critics are violent, illegal and just utterly wrong. We had a member of the public telling the girl to get a life and leave us be. She told him to fuck off.

Anyway, what can we learn from this? Well first off, it's not so comfortable being 3 anons. Safety in numbers.

Second, as soon as a sci shows up, start filming. Film everything, because this sort of shit just might happen again.

Oh ya, she called someone saying "some people are handing out this shit about scientology" then a moment of silence follwed and she responded "yeah, it's them."

So for the next protest... be prepared. hopefully nothing will happen, but... after this, I don't trust the scientologist at all.

Other than it beinga bit... freaky, it was an awesome demonstration. And as promised, I'll put up a video.

And kudos to Animas (only 14 years old) who were with us standing up against the sci-bitch. Damn brave, I have to admit. Kudos, kudos.

well we did not need to call, (the police) the scilons were so agressive and loud the police came because of the trouble they heard

after warning the Scilons once the calmed down a bit, only to continue when the police was around the corner.

the treatened me to sue me to hell, her nose nearly tipped my mask when she shouted at me.
They also dragged one anon to the police, because he had taken pix, then threatening the others agressivly and loud.
claiming they find us and sue us etc etc this went on for half an hour or more

the police considered that faggotry beyond expression and finally escorted them back to thier org, and denied them to come over to the protest site again.

I'm wondering if this indicates demoralisation of management. In London
there was no one to be seen even.

There seems to be no overall orders or policies in the face of the protests.

There seems to be no overall orders or policies in the face of the protests.

From last 2 weeks in northern cal., there seems to be

1) get OTs/OSA out in public during protests to hand out lame 'anonymous FAQ' fliers - also seen in UK and Aus.

2) try to find out how anon is organized (my personal observation - example: pretend to be public and ask anon questions like 'why did you pick tonight?')

3) label protesters as 'hate group'

4) violate 'joy of creating' HCOB - e.g. don't smile (flunk, out KSW!!!!)

5) hI tERRIL!

Here's another one:

Battle Creek, MI

It was just myself and swmianon, today. We thought it would be boring, but things got interesting. Very interesting.

We got outside the Scilon joint at about noon. Standing across the street, obviously, with our signs. Our signs read "DOES A RELIGION NEED SPIES" and "XENU.NET". swmianon has pix, as he has a digicam and I do not.

Well, after about half an hour, a Scilon came out of their little hidey-hole. We immediately started filming. The first one (a guy) was followed by a second one (a woman). They came right across the street at us, and challenged us head-on. They tore our signs in half, and took the two halves of mine. And then they tried to lie to a bystander. swmi filmed everything, although I haven't seen it yet.

So we did the obvious thing. We walked the half-block to the police station. By this time I was really getting going on the crash after my adrenaline rush, so I wasn't feeling or looking so good (feeling better now). We eventually talked to an officer. He said we really didn't have enough to make it a criminal issue, but we might be able to go after them in civil court (yeah, right). He also said he'd talk to the city prosecutor, because the Scilons have now been routinely causing trouble.

So... yeah. Video and pix forthcoming. When they do, I will be taking this to the press. I refuse to let them get away with them. Let there be Hell to pay.

I think its worth collecting all such information world wide. When I was at San Francisco there was no COS presence while I was there. However I believe someone from OSA was pretending to be anon and was most dilligent in photographing me but didn't want to talk to me.

I think they are in disarray.

From Quebec:
http://forums.enturbulation.org/154-canada/quebec-quebec-21874/

I was first arrived and got more or less assaulted. The scilon grabed my flyers off my hands and tried to intimidate me by bouncing his chest on mine. He said that he would kick me out of the street, I asked on what authority, he said Mine, I replied: Well that's worth nothing. They called the police and filled a complaint about Public Disorder or something, can't think of the translation right now. The police asked for our Ids because of this. I question the legality of this though...

Yeah, they seem to be stepping it up. They are going to make a huge mistake soon. It's on them, if they want to act like animals they better be willing to be caged.

Stu was told he couldn't protest in front of the org again. He said he is going all the way with this.:)

I think Davey boy better get his checkbook out.

This thread has really got me looking at the current scene. The tension is rising high here. Disturbing developments.

Each & every attempt scientology has made to get a grip on the scene has failed. Epic Nose Guy (London) – fail. The use of harassment laws in England (Stu) are weak at best and about to crumble I suspect. These are the two failed legal attempts that come immediately to my mind. I suspect there are others.

Scientology cannot find anything to grab hold of to start swinging this their way. Like trying to grab wriggling slimy fish or something.

The initial black PR campaign, with press releases about Anon being a violent group have long been forgotten by the public. Now all the public are seeing are a bunch of persistent creative folk who have become rather like a welcomed monthly tradition - peacefully protesting and having fun. The Anon message is getting through – more people join Anon frequently.

The cease & desist letters (whatever those legal letters were called) sent to identified Anons have done nothing to help scientology “handle”. All these letters did was give oxygen to the already strongly burning fire. Absolutely ineffective. Waste of resources.

The old PR handling “read a book & find out for yourself” has not and will not work in this situation. This method is really only useful in a one-on-one situation & not with a group of critics. I noted that this method has been used at some of the protests, where scientologists engaged in conversation with Anons. Very funny really. The dead agenting method is entirely ineffective when there is such a volume of “entheta” being poured out worldwide. Anonymous is viral-like (I mean this in a good way). This activism is growing. While the protests are the monthly “face”, the visible headcount if you will, there is also a tonne of other stuff going on behind the scenes each day. Anonymous is helping former scientologists find their voices, etc. The movement just keeps growing.

Scientology can’t play the “waa waa these folk are discriminating against our religion” as this will open up a can of worms. Much of the Anon actions/messages are heavily attacking “is scientology really a religion?” Scientology can’t afford to play the religious discrimination card.

Scientology can’t run classic nasty fair game because Anon is cleverly documenting their every move and will just rise up and say “there you just proved exactly what we’ve been saying”.

There seems to be no pattern to how OSA is handling this. Initially there was but now there are random things going on which indicates there is no sound program running here. They don’t seem to have a clue how to make this “problem” go away.

So that leaves desperation and serious frustration. IMO this display of violence is from the rank & file staff members who have been badly let down by their office of special affairs (OSA). OSA is meant to effectively handle any and all black PR and remove threats from the environment. But the real problem is that OSA are so fucking far out of their depth here because all the tools that Hubbard left them to play with are useless in the 21st century. Furthermore the policies are steeped in Hubbard’s paranoia & cannot withstand too much truth being flung at them.

And that is the point. There is too much truth in Anonymous for scientology to cope.

Great analysis, sallydannce.

There is a momentum happening here. I can't wait until the ripple effects start hitting the top of the organisation.

I have read the thread quickly so hope I'm not repeating something. Do you think OSA are encouraging provocative behavior hoping to incite an angry outburst by the anti-scio protesters. Of course OSA could do this in such a behind the scenes way that even the people chosen to be provocative would not realize it's actually planned/engineered by OSA. They could make things look a little "unruly" and perhaps get a protester to lash out at someone who is "after all just some 17 year old who is understandably annoyed about having their religion crticised" and if questioned, the dupe teenager -or others would not implicate OSA or anyone else if they believed that they had thought the whole thing up themselves. Yes, a little bit into paranoia there, which is a healthy thing when dealing with OSA /COS.

Thanks Neo. The momentum is starting to shake the rafters already I'm sure. If we know nothing else about scientology we know things happen fast - they push things along. Speed of particle flow and all that. The walls will be shaking as I write this. I feel it in my bones and I tell you, my bones never lie.

It is possible but unlikely in the current situation. Scientology is walking a very fine line here DB, they have very little room for errors, even if well hidden. They have the biggest God damn floodlight on them. Like never before. You could have a point though.

These are my thoughts exactly, this is the type of things they do to entice outbursts from protesters for sure. The are as bye301 said acting like caged animals though and before long they will slip up and make a massive mistake. It may seem like it's all going to pot, but this had to happen, this is healthy, energy is moving, things are happening, change, big change, is about to take place. Thanks FTS for all the info and well done to the Anons for their bravery.

Trust the Psi Corps.
It is in OSA's interest to get a little violence into the protest. If the initial cause goes un-noticed and develops into a full-on brawl, then the OSA guys will have their cameras hanging out windows showing what a brutal and violent group Anonymous is. They are definitely working out how to put their own spin on this.

My pet YouTube project (DarthTrayal) is very clearly following the inculcated quotes from CCHR (I've done the research--It's in one of my propaganda sheets.), and sincerely believes what he is doing. I identify with him at that age, and I hope I can get through to him rationally without being abusive and wake him up.

"I have a girlfriend.
I have a family.
I'm going to college to be a chef.
In other words, I have a life."

Scientology can fix that!

No, my read on this is that it is deliberate and they want to get the message to the police that they are so outraged by the pickets that they can not contain themselves because of the extreme provocation that they are subjected to. That way, the police will stop future pickets because of the possibility of violence.

Yeah, you're probably right Roland. Except it's having the opposite effect on most police. They are getting fed up with $cilons calling them and bawwing about the protesters only to get to the scene and find that the evil protesters are dancing and eating cake! I am sure that 1/2 the time they don't even bother showing up when the $cilons call.

And the police can't stop protests. All they can do is arrest protesters if they get out of hand. Then the protesters can just show up again at a new protest.

We had a cop show up at our protest yesterday. It was the first time they showed up since the Feb. protest. He waved, sat in his car and paid no attention to us at all. He left after 15 minutes. lol I wonder if the $cilons called him? I hope so.

I figured that since I was protesting alone if a $cilon tried to approach me I would run over to the restaurant next door. I don't want to give them a chance to yell that I assaulted them. Anons are wise to the kind of crap they try to pull.

I wish you luck with him! I have worked on Vallarrr and find her one tough little cookie. lol I have tried being nice and polite to no avail. I have tried just ignoring her and posting things about the cult that are wrong. Nothing. I have tried arguing with her. Also nothing but ad hom or insults. She is very angry. Seems to be pretty 1.1 (sorry for the sci-speak) on the best of days. I think that the $cilon posters on youtube must be OSA volunteers. One wonders if they ever realize that they are doing nothing effective in clearing the planet. They are just one little aye in a huge sea of nays. It must be dis-heartening.
