Bernie is not an "apostate" scientologist so the church has no call even within it's own draconian policies for his daughter's disconnection.

CP....it's because of this.....Bernie is connected to his son, who is considered an SP by the COS.

Because Bernie is attached to his son, Marc Headley, a former Scientologist and member of the Sea Org who is an outspoken critic of the church, he can never again see his daughter, who remains in the church.

The daughter, in order to remain in Scientology cannot communicate with her brother or with her father because he is connected to her brother.

That's just how it works. They don't want her talking to her father because he might tell her about Marc's story or tell something that Marc said to him and they don't want her to know anything at all or be influenced in any way by her family. The only thing she probably knows is that Marc blew and he's considered an SP so she wouldn't be allowed to speak to anyone who is connected to Marc.
