Scientology ignores its own Creeds and Codes.

I came across the Codes and Creeds followed in Scientology after getting onto the Brisbane Org website. Below is but a dust particle of the codes and creeds preached but not followed by the Church.

THE CREDO OF A GOOD AND SKILLED MANAGER.
To be effective and successful a manager must:

9. He must recognize in himself the rationale of the group and receive and evaluate the data out of which he makes his solutions with the highest attention to the truth of that data.

Except data in Scientology is not allowed to be second guessed, evaluated or investigated as to its truth. What is said by “Management, LRH “ IS the way it is.

THE CREED OF THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY

After Mr. Hubbard issued this creed from his office in Phoenix, Arizona, the Church of Scientology adopted it as its creed because it succinctly states what Scientologists believe.

We of the Church believe

That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of other.

Be warned if done so with regards Scientology you will be thrown out, dis-owned by your family and friends and discredited, branded an enemy. Free think is not allowed, the Scientology way is the only way.

And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights, overtly or covertly.

Scientology sees itself as God as they suspend these rights themselves.

And we of the Church believe that the laws of God forbid Man to destroy or reduce the survival of one’s companions or one’s group.

Scientology believes that turning a persons family against them and leaving them isolated from all that a family holds dear does not destroy ones level of survival. All because one decides to no longer practice Scientology.

That was likely written by Richard DeMille, whole had written 'How to Live though an Executive', and most of 'Essay on Management'.

A 1986 interview with DeMille:

The 'Creed of the Church of Scientology' was written concurrent with the implementation of Hubbard's (as he called it) "religion angle." It was a PR action, and still serves a PR function.

Other PR (or "defensive") actions include things such as placing big crosses on Scientology "Churches" in countries where big crosses produce positive PR.

Agree with the reasonable sounding 'Creed of the Church' and you're more likely to accept that Scientology is a "Church." It is, and has always been, a gimmick.

Hubbard liked gimmicks, and Scientology is filled with them. :)
