It is painful learning about how people have been reduced to penury through their involvement with scn, but it's a well-oiled machine designed to do just that. Of course, a lot of self-deception has to take place along with putting your trust in others who you believe have your best interests at heart but in fact have only their own.Yea, sounds good.
I too am flabbergasted at the stories here of spending 100's of thousands of dollars on upper bridge services.....just mind boggling!
I haven't got a current price-list of services to hand, but after all, when you have just completed a hugely expensive service which is supposed to have delivered a specific end-result and you know in your heart of hearts that it hasn't happened, why do you continue? You begin to think you're an SP and therefore get no case-gain. You're told you must be PTS, or that you must have falsely attested to an earlier grade or that what you have just done is really only a preliminary to the 'real thing' which you will now have to stump up an even more outlandish sum of money to start. We all know the story.
Eventually, most get out, some sooner than others and some more broken psychologically, spiritually and or financially than others. I count myself as one of the lucky ones.
