Scientology's Goons: Intimidating a 71-Year-Old Missouri Grandmother

This is my family that Tony wrote about this morning. Thank you Tony.

On December 29, the Church of Scientology-Missouri's media relations officer, Ellen Maher-Forney, and another executive, Jill James, drove the 40 minutes it takes to go from the church on Delmar Boulevard in St. Louis to the home of Jim and Meshell Little in Saint Peters, Missouri.

When the two women began knocking at the Little home's front door, Meshell's daughter Heather, 17, called her mother, who was at work: "Mom, somebody's at the door." Meshell asked Heather to see if her grandmother, Meshell's mother, 71-year-old Edie Fields, could answer the persistent knocking...

It never fails to amaze me what levels these mean, vindictive people sink to.

How exactly is upsetting a grandmother and keeping a son from his mother helping to clear the planet? I know, I know if it makes sense it is not Scientology.

Who was the sick bastard who dreamt up the SP Doctrine in the first place?

"Suppressive acts are defined as actions or omissions undertaken to knowingly suppress, reduce, or impede Scientology or Scientologists.

"Such suppressive acts include public disavowal of Scientology... public statements against Scientology.

"[Suppressive acts also include] continued membership in a divergent group; continued adherence to a Suppressive Person or group pronounced a Suppressive Person or group by HCO; failure to handle or disavow or disconnect from a person demonstrably guilty of suppressive acts; being at the hire of anti-Scientology groups or persons...

"[Suppressive Persons] place themselves beyond any consideration for their feelings or well being...

"The homes, property, places, and abodes of persons who have been active in attempting to suppressive Scientology... are all beyond any protection."

Hubbard came up with the concept that families don't actually exist because we're just thetans. He did that to undermine and devalue the connections we all feel towards our loved ones, to make it easier for members to choose the cult. This cannot be blamed on Miscavige.

@Jim: I hope Jeremy wakes up soon, all the best to you and your family.

Once Albert Einstein was asked what he thought was mankind's greatest discovery and he did not hesitate to answer by saying "compound interest". He went on to call it the "8th Wonder of the World". An example follows:

Let's say Christopher Columbus made an investment in the new world's future in 1492. If Chris had placed a single penny in a 6% interest-bearing account and instructed someone to remove the interest every year, the value of the interest earned to date (2005) would be almost 31 cents. Not too much to write home about, is it. But if the young explorer had placed the same paltry investment of one cent into the same interest-bearing account but LEFT the earned interest to compound—earning interest upon the interest—the results would be drastically different. What would you guess the account would be worth now? $10,000? $100,000? A million? 10 million? 100 million? In actuality, the resulting balance of a penny invested at 6% COMPOUND interest for 513 years would be $95,919,936,112. That's 95 BILLION! Not bad for a single penny.

One naturally wonders, what then is the "9th Wonder of the World"?

ANSWER: A Scientologist's ability to discover human rights atrocities perpetrated by others and loudly rebuke them with righteous indignation--whilst simultaneously remaining unable to discover that those crimes were directly ordered by L. Ron Hubbard.

And there you have it--Scientology's greatest discovery:

Compound Stupidity.

Thank you for posting this Jim, I'm very sorry that this is happening to your family. Disconnection is evil and must be stopped!

This is for you and your family. :love2: Thanks for having the courage to go public with the truth about how Scientology treats people.

If our forefathers had all made this investment, we wouldn't have a national or world debt.

They could have opened a Crisis Account/Posterity

Here is a great page of information for those lurkers and Non Scientologists who may wish to learn more about the concept of SP's (suppressive persons, according to Scientology):

Jim, now that your family has been disconnected and been declared, this is probably the best time ever to ask for your money back, for services, for donations, etc. Please consider it. There are threads and posts here with very helpful advice on how to go about doing it.

Truly disgusting behaviour by the cult.

But, unfortunately totally consistent with their moral values and arrogant self-delusions.

Yes, it was Thursday before 2:00 pm, as I have been told. These people are vicious. Actually, as someone brought up on Facebook when I posted this from Jim's blog, this should be considered elder abuse and be reported.

What did they possibly think they would gain by showing up and dumping this 3 page diatribe of lies on a nice lady who worked for them for 10 years! These people are scum. That was a hate crime. Truly.

They could have sent this lady into a deep spiritual and mental depression. How do they know what condition was in? This is just evil. The truth is that Meshell says her mom doesn't handle stuff like this very well so they intervened and didn't give it to her.

I do find it curious that St Louis Org has a door-to-door SP Declare drop-off service when no one else can get theirs by any means.

I have to add this..in general, if you are leaving or have left the Cult...don't sign anything that Scientologists ask you to sign...it is not in your best interest. You don't have to legally sign anything they ask you to, just because they are using coercion. Just leave. That is your right!

I agree that this is abusive behavior, and there is no need for anyone to tolerate it, elder or minor or anyone.

If ever you are in a position where this is happening to you, and Scientologists are insistently knocking on your door and won't go away...DO NOT LET THEM IN. Do not speak to them.

Call the police and have them escorted off your property as trespassers.

COS executives have shown a pattern and practice of stalking and harassment. It's fairly easy here, to get a restraining or "protective" order. Look into and learn your rights for where you live, everyone.

It's complete arrogance, she should have made them sign something.

They truly think they are above the law but the truth is is that they are the new form of criminal that the laws have to catch up with.

Hi Jim, I am so very sorry for the hurt that these people are causing your family. Truly wicked and suppressive. I send you and all your family lots of positive thoughts and love. :bighug:

Unless I'm mistaken, the grandmother, Edie, is someone I was on course with during the Golden GAT days early on. She was bitching and moaning about it then. I admired her for that, even though I was sipping koolaid at the time. I'm glad she is OUT and with her loving family.

This is NOT OK !!!!

Jim, you might not want to do this, but would you be so kind as to write a simple "press release" to your local papers?

With the Tony Ortega article a click away, plenty of eager young reporters would love to write about the cult's evil fingers reaching into their readership's neighborhoods.

It wouldn't take much - just a brief e-mail and some links.

Might even get picked up in the The St. Louis Post-Dispatch!:happydance:

Makes me the sixth wonder of the world?

Where shall I post the success story?
