Drowning
On Sunday, March 29th about 17.00 a passenger from the cruise ship Freewinds be resuscitated at the south pier. The passenger was swimming and got sick. Later it was confirmed that the person was deceased. It concerns William Robert Purvis, born on June 11, 1946 in United States. The corpse was seized for further investigation.

How sad. I remember this guy, also his wife (was it Jeanne? And daughter Michelle?). Anyway, was thinking about him the other day, also other names I remember from CW in the 80's and have wondered....where are they now?

Since he's not alive to tell anybody that he "got sick", how would they know?

I would not rule out the possibility that this was suicide, brought about by either crush regging, an "ethics handling", or some other Scn-related cause.

Anything's possible but we'll never know without a witness who was there.

He was old and possibly in ill health.

From his FB page....it seems he owned apartments in the Clearwater area.

Don't know how many....but I suppose it would be possible to find out...and how mortgaged they were....

He was 69......that is just not that "old"....these days.

If he was in ill health....he shouldn't have been on the Purification Rundown.....??

For a Scino 60's is old. Lot of stress there. I'm just saying, yeah there could have been foul play or maybe he just died, we may not ever know since they're so good at keeping truth under wraps to protect their precious PR.

According to El Ron and all of the Scientologists that believe in his tek, the only reason a person gets sick or makes mistakes is because of a PTS condition. Before anyone goes to the ship they are Sec Checked and checked for PTSness withing an inch of their lives. Then, when they get on the ship they are Sec Checked and checked even more thoroughly for any PTS condition. So how then can someone die while being in the most exalted place in the Scientology universe? Maybe the tek doesn't work after all. Either that or he went PTS to all of the Sec Checking, regging, and re-treading of levels he had completed years ago.

This is very sad. My condolences to his family. I hope that this example will educate others about the dangers of following the teachings of L Ron Hubbard and the cherch of Scientology.

The idea that he may have been engaged in such should be made clear to the authorities who may not even ask the right questions without that data. Of course he could have had cardiac arrest or something through no fault of anyone else but if it occurred through negligence, or because his electrolytes were off because of the purif that's another thing.

It seems like this is certainly another death the church is going to just sweep under the carpet. Or possibly just pretend it didn't happen. There is no news about it whatsoever in American media.

Maybe if he was a Navy or marine veteran someone could notify NCIS and they could do their miraculous shit!? :coolwink::eyeroll:
