Deep grovel if this has already been posted (I feel sure it has but can't identify the thread).

So a group of known and perhaps as many unknown Scientologists meet for a meal at a popular Western restaurant in LA (or somewhere). So what? Tom Cruise emerges carrying a laptop (?) and one or two of the others have what look like bound folders.

What strikes me as very strange is that they are all preoccupied, solemn, even grim. There are no flashing teeth, no smiles for the paps, except two fingers from Oor Wully. Cruise is hiding under his hat and all the others look sombre, as though they had been faced with TEOTWAWKI and were the only people who could save the planet. Brief hugs, no friendly conversation.

What is going on?

More research reveals the probable truth: they were reading the script of a possible film. I have Scientology on the brain. More grovelling.

So, was it a Scientology pow wow?

Cruise, Smith, and the other stars were at the Saddle Ranch, which has a mechanical bull in the middle of the restaurant, for a table read of a movie called Paper Wings, which is being developed by Smith’s production company, Overbrook Entertainment.

"Our source, who is familiar with the project, explained that they “chose the Saddle Ranch for the table read because the story of the film involves a bull rider and a country singer.”

"It should be noted, though, that while those actors were at the reading, they haven’t yet officially signed on to the film."

My theory is that Miscavige has done so much damage to the careers of the celebs that they are bankrolling Marty and Mike in a church takeover attempt.

Has anyone stopped to ask how Marty and Mike can appear to be unemployed yet continue to live comfortably and do all that traveling? They sure didn't save up the money on Sea Org pay (at least not according to Marty's affidavit).
