What's new

So, is this what we have been waiting for?

I'm not an attorney, but I do know the RICO act allows certain leeway in going after fraud, and conspiracy to commit fraud, where rackets or racketeering is involved. Conspiracy would definately be the knowing , routine fraud of false board minutes, just put up as a ruse to satisfy some stupid wog government requirement. You all know that's how they look at it. The problem is, when you are in court, facing a judge and a jury, and you have to explain you did this stuff because you are so far above this mundane legal crap because you are so busy saving the world, well... the jury doesn't care about your little cult bullshit. The prosecutor is going to nail your little OT ass to the wall.
I will say it one more time. It's not the human rights abuses they give a shit about. It's comingling of funds under the Sea Org Reserves umbrella and using that for DMs personal pleasure lifestyle. THAT is what is in Marty's statement that will eventually bring DM to justice. Maybe. Hope so.

.....and Marty will have pulled off the biggest coup of his career. He will become the new godfather of Scientology I won't be standing in line to kiss his ring.

Maybe, but I suggest any victory would be a mouthful of ashes. The big money will evaporate overnight into the lawyers' trust funds, the real estate will fracture into tiny wee bits and a legal maze of who owns what, and owes how much to whom.

My main concern is what would happen to the individuals in the Sea Org.

Oh I don't think it's about the coffers. I think it's about the Sea Org members you are concerned about who will be looking for a new and more competant leader. It's also about the true believers having someone to hang their hope on. It won't take long in that climate to amass a new fortune. Scientologists are so used to throwing money at promises of case gain and a cleared planet they will continue to do so out of habit.

For any who are able to just walk away......they have us.

I want to commend Marty Rathbun on the declaration and help on the Headley trial! - And Rinder too.. - Very good!

I still do not condone any ressurection of Scientology. It won't do anybody any good.. And I think it's a lost cause anyway..

Mike's exclusive with the BBC seems to not be panning out, though. Maybe they HAVE to bring in johnny law in order to get Mike up on the TV. Maybe the wogs are saying that some of the accusations should be given to law enforcement and not to journalists and they're skittish about them not going to wog law and coming to the BBC instead and it makes them antsy to print/video these accusations without cop blackup.

I'm just spitballing here. But here's as good as anywhere.

Pretty sure I saw a mention on Marty's blog that the program is being
delayed by COS legal tactics. Same thing happened with
" The Beginners Guide to L ron Hubbard."

Mick, it gets even better. Things begin to become shockingly clear to DM as we read in an exchange at Marty's blog: Mike Rinder will testify in the Headley trial!

The gloves are now officially off!

Wow! Great News!!!!!

Thank-You Marty and Mike for helping out with this!:happydance:

Love that!

I see the future.....

Disenfranchised, Scientologists wandering aimlessly about, with street-worn polyester navy costumes. Holding clipboards and checking the time again and again as if haunted by a phantom 2pm deadline. Homeless, beleaguered planet savers--stumbling their way up to one complete stranger after another, begging them:

SORROWFUL SCIENTOLOGIST
I am looking for my eternity.
Can YOU sell me my eternity?

Totally agree Schwim. I think that there is an aspect that is often overlooked, and that is that it has been a very good scam right from the start, and it must be a horrid thing for some to cast aside a chance for all that gravy just waiting to be poured from the pockets of not only the existing cash-cowz, but from the new raw-meat prospects in a shinier, kinder, more forgiving CoS... :puke2:

Irregardless, the cult has some huge closets and the skeletons will just keep falling out no matter how hard DM and his minions try to stuff 'em back in, it isn't going to work this time, I think. The edges of the puzzle pieces slowly creep closer and closer together and I truly believe when it all fits that many of the tried 'n' true apologists, many of the die-hard 'Free-zoners', along with the mentally blindered, are going to have some huge 'WTF?' moments. How long can good people keep getting whacked up-side the head (while being told it doesn't really hurt etc.), until a light starts to dawn.

We'll see. :drama: :drama:

@ Hella> Glad I learned early on not to read any of your posts with anything in me mouth :roflmao:

IMO, Marty wants to return to the CofS and be the new COB.
Why else would he participate in attempting to block the Australian tax inquiry?

Marty is not only using conventional WW II vintage weaponry as General Hubbard typically deployed. Marty is smart enough to sometimes use "Smart Weapons" that narrowly identify and take out targets with minimal collateral damage.

Collateral damage is old style foobullet-Tech. It's hand-to-hand combat where one soldier pulls the pin on a grenade whilst holding it against his enemy combatant--blowing off his own feet in the process. Example: Transparent Fair Game tactics where an enemy is vanquished--but in winning a small battle, creates an even greater number of enemies and resources to align and attack Scientology. Ooops, Pyrrhic Victory much?

Smart weaponry targets JUST David Miscavige, never Scientology. And targeting the Church of Scientology is a place that Marty never goes because it is too closely affiliated and positioned WITH Scientology itself. Hence, he didn't lift a finger to help the Inquiry right the crimes and injustices of organized, tax-exempt Scientology.

The move to help the Headleys is very very cool. His Declaration is terrific and it's good to see him blow a little whistle here and there.

But I never for a moment lose sight of the fact that he only blows that whistle as it forwards his agenda.

By hitting COB he gains ground.

And by helping the Headleys he simultaneously positions himself as Ex-Scientologist's Greatest Friend.

The PR value of helping them is enormous.

Great strategic move. I like it.

If I was organizing a new cult I would have done that too.

Respect to Marty as a good strategist.

But he has epic blindspots that will be his undoing.....more on that later.

Disclaimer: None of my posts on this thread should be construed as any sort of personal attack upon Carmel Underwood, whom I deem to be a good person dedicated to a worthy cause, which is putting an end to all abuse by Co$ in Australia. These posts are made in the interest of establishing the exact truth concerning specific allegations she has made against Marty Rathbun, only.

IMO, Marty wants to return to the CofS and be the new COB.

Excuse me, but so far there has been not even the tiniest bit of evidence presented demonstrating Marty Rathbun has made any such attempt. All we have on that is Carmel Underwood's repeated assertions to that effect and zero factual details as to what exactly was spoken to whom or when, who originated each communication and by what means did they take place (presumably long distance phone calls, since there have been no reports of Marty coming there in person during the time period this alleged interference supposedly took place).

Notably absent is any information detailing how Carmel's "trusted source" obtained detailed information on Marty Rathbun's alleged telephone traffic to "hundreds of government and media contacts". That is what Carmel originally claimed in a post which has since been deleted from ESMB without either a retraction or explanation of any kind. Such information, if factual, surely could only have ultimately come from covert monitoring of Rathbun's alleged long-distance telephone calls to these various parties, regardless of how it found its way to Carmel's "trusted source".

Since I don't believe that Carmel Underwood would just make up this sort of crap, and I choose to assume that her "trusted source" is also an honest person, that can only mean to me that this disinformation was planted on her communication lines as part of a more or less standard OSA Op aimed specifically at Carmel (as a major Opinion Leader amongst the Aussie critics) to get her doing "OSA's Dirty Work" for them, as she puts it.

Carmel:

It is way past time you either provide verifiable proof to back up this outrageous accusation you have made or admit that you have none and retract it.

If you are wrong about this, you owe Marty Rathbun a public apology for this gross public smeer. If you are right, then prove it.

P.S. - Carmel: If you have foresworn Scientology and all it's egregious and inhuman organizational practices, why are you still using the same lame Knowledge Report model which makes all manner of alarming claims about someone, puts forth no details or evidence and simply condemns them for whatever transgressions one can think that will get them into trouble with the Ethics Officer - or in this case, the critic community ?

What? Betray her sources in order to satisfy curiosity or pedantry?
I think not. Why don't you ask Marty about it?

PS: The incident was NOT in relation to the Tax Inquiry specifically, it was earlier in the piece.

Duuuuuuude! This has nothing to do with Carmel. You should have first read what Marty Rathbun himself WROTE about this subject before posting all that indignant, uninformed diatribey stuff.

On the bright side, I have seen you correct your own misinformation before; this would be another such opportunity.

Why would you assume this Michael, it could have just as easily come from someone who happened to be talking to many of the particular recipients of such calls. Once alerted to the possibility of a campaign, checking directly with others who might have been called would be a simple matter.

"All we have on that is Carmel Underwood's repeated assertions to that effect..........."

I don't recall ANY response by Marty to what was said.
If these allegations were untrue wouldn't Marty have defended himself against them and informed us of his true position with regards the Inquiry?
