Amy Scobees' new book just got millions of dollars worth of FREE advertising! The book cover, and excerpts are featured in the new editions of the Star and the National Enquirer ( two scandal sheets, rag mags, whatever, for non- US people) the two biggest scandal sheets in the US. Her book cover is featured prominently in both stories, two weeks before release! Amy is SOURCE! ( It follows as the sun follows the rain, what do they key in on? Tom Cruise, of course!)

Yes, I bought them. They are sitting in front of me as I type this.

Is this an obvious result of Bert Fields' letter to Amy that Marty published? Does either article mention that letter?

I saw these articles yesterday when I went to the grocery store. It's going to be real hard for Scientologists to ignore these when they grocery shop because the grocery stores display them right in the check out line where everyone can see them. They are both good articles promoting Amy's book and the only way anyone can read about what she knows is to buy her book and read it. She's created a good mystery sandwich.

Yes, both of them do.

The only real substance in each article had to do with Amy's book coming out on May 9th. I'm not kidding.

I had to stick my finger down my throat after reading these rags, and now I don't feel like writing a book report on them any more.

Having said that, here are some juicy tidbits:

In the Enquirer article, Amy says that session data from many celebrity's sessions was discussed by management staff and laughed about in meetings.

Also, as the person who okayed every staff member hired to be Tom Cruise's house staff, she says that she knew personally that each one of them were spying on Cruise, and reporting back everything to DM on a daily or weekly basis.

I think Amy's book is going to be the end of the Celebrity program in Scientology.

We very well may see some new celebrity critics showing up on ESMB as a result of this.

All Sea Org staff will be under lockdown and only allowed to shop at the canteen. I think they were already banned from target and wal-mart after one of them got chatty with the check-out girl and bragged how they were buying baby presents for Suri Cruise (wal-mart stuff for Suri??? ) and the story ended up in the papers.

Not to mention the fact that they are already banned from TV, magazines, newspapers, etc. from previous flaps.

Maybe the Public and Outer org staff will be sent some of those e-mails that get leaked occasionally like "OMG, DO NOT read the STAR or ENQUIRER, and stay out of grocery stores!!! Please send compliance to OSA so they can count you as a stat!"

There was something about someone having a gay porn vid, but it was unclear who.

It certainly wasn't me.

The someone isn't named in the book, although we who have been around a few ex- Int staff HAVE A PRETTY GOOD IDEA OF WHO HAS THAT PARTICULAR REPUTATION. The story was told, to illustrate the funny capers people like Tommy Davis have to go through to keep the lid on these flaps. Read the book. It's a great story. It's Amys' autobiography of her time in the CofS. Some of the celebrity stuff is funnier than hell. Anyone who has done services at CC Int or Flag has run into the fringes of this. Elevators held for celebrities, causing others to have to wait for the remaining elevator. Hints not to "bother" celebrities. Celebrities with "entheta kept off their lines".
HCO personnel hovering around lest someone might Dev-T a celeb while routing in or out, or trying to talk to them. God forbid they be approachable, and find out something. Amys' book will get through to more than a few, as many of them knew her. Her testimonial that their confessions are laughed at by staff at Int will hit hard. Especially the more hip, younger ones who may have been a bit wilder than some.

Amy is going to have a very full life once her book is published. I estimate that at least the following will occur:

1.Amy will be sued by Tom Cruise.
2.Amy will be sued by the CoS
3.Possibly sued by DM and other Int based staff
4.OSA will try and intimidate her and will run their own full blown black PR campaign. This of course will entail digging up any dirt they can find on her, and spinning it in a way as to try and discredit her in the eyes of world.
5.They will probably try to infiltrate Amy's camp with a plant or two just for good measure.
6.I also think that they will probably try and get an injunction stopping the release of the book and they will probably attempt to time this to cause Amy and the publisher the greatest amount of harm i.e. after the books are printed and possibly before they are shipped. I think that they will try and tie this up in legal for as long as they can.

The National Enquirer will of course have a field day with the lot. It will all make great press.

All of the actions above are just standard policy that is to be followed.

Not that I wish to see any of this, I just hope that Amy is prepared for it and has the fortitude and resources to fight the good fight.
