It's "Face" book. Not "hide your ass" book. The name rather connotes visibility regardless of its retarded privacy policies. If one doesn't want something known then it's best to stay off Facebook.

Here's another thing about FB and I am not going to say who told me this because it doesn't matter but I totally believe this person. This person told me that a friend was called into the MAA and shown an entire long FB private message conversation so, somehow OSA knows how to hack into PMs. Just FYI. Now I could care less what they read but, FB IS NOT secure.

To extend that to some of us that were not inside, I've found myself doing that too. I know it pales in comparison to exiting, but there were people followed after protests as well. I remember checking my rear-view more often than normal on the way home after the first few protests in 2008.

I was even a bit spooked after a guy was sitting in an idling car outside my window every afternoon. I later realized he worked at a shop next door, and ate his lunch in the car every day

Actually, there's one point in which I understand Steve and that is that IFA/APIS people want to profit by the current success of the Independents and at the same time tell them that what they're doing is wrong.

Omitted is the fact that this IFA group massively contributed to the success of the Independents, and were already long in existence before anyone ever even heard of Rathbun, Rinder and Hall out here.

If Steve Hall were actually sincere in his statement, then he should be all too happy more people have signed up for auditing with IFA, but noooo ... it's all about "Profit", ie. vested interest. Both Hall & Rathbun think everyone in the Freezone/Indies owe them something.

I've exchanged a few interesting emails with Steve Hall in the past few hours. I've been trying to get PaulsRobot3 reinstated as an auditor on his http://freeandable.com directory site. A few weeks back he said he would but it needs a new category and he's been very busy on a project but he would get to it. I got the idea he was genuinely busy and *would* get to it, as if not I don't think he would have had any problem telling me to get fucked. . But he has never been anything than ultra-polite and nice to me in our communications. And today he said he hoped to be wrapping up that project very soon and would get onto the PaulsRobot matter.

Anyway, he asked some very interested questions about PaulsRobot and how it should be categorized and how I originally came up with it and so on, which I explained at length.

I know what was quoted earlier on this thread. But I don't think he is as one-dimensional as is being painted.

It did? I know IFAP (or whatever its current incarnation is) has been in existence since 2004 at least, but I have always found it to be a pathetic CofS wannabe. I find it hard to believe it massively contributed to anything useful at all.

I suspect it was on the Indie Scientologist Facebook Group. If so, it is a closed group. A member would have to be "out security" and cut and paste, or screen cap, the discussion.

This is the group I was added to by admin Karry Campbell after I met her at Alexander Jentzsch's memorial.. I later deleted the group because I could not keep with the stringent rules set by Karry to belong to the group.. absolutely no nattering or criticism of LRH, Marty Rathbun or Mike Rinder, whatsoever.

It was Karen de la Carriere who graciously informed me several months ago when I was being attacked by an Indie on Facebook.. to remind the Indies that I live in a country where free speech is a constitutionally protected right.

I have friends that are Indies, and most of them, respect one's right to agree to disagree on issues related to Scientology. I've been added to other Scientology discussion groups on Facebook, which I've deleted, because my consent was not sought before I was added (a privacy rights violation that should be removed by Facebook).

I know of several others, like Larry Wollersheim, who's a "member" of the group whom, I suspect, would not agree to the terms set for being a member, who was probably added to the group without his knowledge. He, either, is unaware he was added to the group or doesn't care.

Personally, I didn't care, either, because the admin is entitled to her beliefs & her convictions, and it is her Facebook group.. I just tired of the relentless pro-LRH postings that appeared on my FB page.

I've been reading Stephen Covey's 'The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People' and whilst I disagree with several points in the book, there is some great stuff in there on human relationships. It's not about looking for enemy's but quite the opposite.

Dude, in the world of Standard Scientology, there is no such thing as "Paul's Robot". It's "squirrel" and eventually you/it will have to be (what's the terminology?) "hammered out of existence". I just don't see a happy alliance there.

APIS clearly states on its site it does not follow the path of CO$. It could be argued what constitutes "massive contributions", or what defines it, since some see it terms of support rendered taking actions against the church, others by the extent of material/services made available to the FZ. Perhaps it doesn't meet Steve Hall's criteria, but then those are entirely his own, as would be whatever you consider to be "useful".
