I don't have a big problem with his lying about his service; I do have many friends who have lied to me about their own service...

Actually I too have no problem with the guru being a pathological liar. My problem is the despicable DM and COS spreading those lies...disgusting!

I think you should read this book. The C of S is his brainchild and acts accordingly to his programming.
