Stress Testing

I've never spoken to anyone about stress tests, except for drilling the comm cycle with peers and sups, and discussing stats.

Just curious, were you ever asked to "help" out at a stress test booth, or was it something you wanted to do?

Did you do it before you joined staff?? Or only after??

How many people did you turn on to Scientology through stress test tables and dianetic book sales??

i did the stress test booth. people were walking by making nasty comments. the e-meters were not certified!! the needle was going hay wire and the newbie was wondering how this could possibly help, so was I?!?

what i did learn that was helpful is that EVERYONE has a nutty family, its the way of ANTHROPOLOGY 101, its a required college course, it teaches you we all live in 'packs' and their is a heirarchey.

having my education before I signed up was very beneficial as I had all that to think with while going through the ringer.

I "turned on" hundreds through book sales, etc. Stress test not so much, but some. The key to the stress test is actually having a space not out in the open, where a person can feel comfortable, and you can actually discuss things...Communication being the senior factor....

i did lots of pinch tests. most people were pretty impressed. it's pretty effective. it works almost 100% of the time and there's no doubt in the person's mind that the meter moved just as he/she recalled the moment of tha pinch. i won't get into an argument about HOW the emeter works, but nobody could walk away from that without thinking something interesting is going on with that meter.
