A very funny picture from WWP. They were discussing Aaron pointing at Hanna. In my opinion there is no doubt that Aaron was seen by Hanna and this was done right in front of him to provoke a reaction. Instead, he stood still and pointed it out, which was exactly the right thing to do.

That's also a ship technique... when someone goes overboard, any people who witness it point to the person in the water and continue to point until rescuers have also spotted the person.

That drill is done in the Sea Org. It might be used in other cases. As we see here, it was effective in correctly directing attention to the nut case Mark Hanna.

Yes, it's assault.
Forget about all this PTS/Scio-goes-crazy speculation; I just watched Zhents footage and that's a standard Provocation Caper.
Hannah ain't crazy unless you're thinking "crazy like a fox", that was an attempt to provoke an assault by Aaron/Anon.
It failed.

My thought too - Mark's too well trained to be doing something like that without reason.

Yes, the more I think about it and watch the video, the more this looks obvious.

I also suspect that this was a follow-up to to the Temp RO set-up, which was filed by a CoS staff. Mark Hanna probably thought it had been served, which it hadn't. But that was probably only because they applied in a wrong name and a wrong address.

If it had been served and Hanna had been able to successfully provoke Aaron, it would have landed Aaron in deep shit.

But Murphy was hard at work yesterday.

Oh yeah, there is one other revealing moment. A split second after cops disentangle Hanna from being restrained, he instantly offers his congratulatory handshake and thanks to the police and quickly strides away... THIS IS SCIENTOLOGY PERSONIFIED!

Hey HAB, another perspective......

Just after these reports were posted, before the first vid was posted, a major press release was being written by another to go out to thousands (a group outside of the critic community).

If that vid wasn't posted when it was, that release (based on the written reports, including one from me on the other thread) would have probably gone out, and it would have resulted in egg on a lot of faces.

I wasn't giving anyone the "third degree" or a "hard time", in my first couple of posts on the matter. I stated something that I thought needed to be stated, in order to alert anyone else about to jump the gun before we had all the facts and an accurate picture of what occurred.

Fair enough Carmel, I didn't know about the other report/press release. "Third degree" was an exaggeration on my part. I was basically trying to say the same thing (as you) from another perspective. It seemed like the posts were getting way out of hand based on a 30 sec raw-footage vid. And I didn't mean to single you out -there were a lot of posts/posters.

So this will now mean that the scions will be allowed to restrain protesters physically saying the police told them to.

There was no need to grab him from behind at all. The video clearly shows Aaron pointing out Mark to a police officer. Mark was not running away and the police would have caught up to him eventually.

Don't end up using the tactics they use. You do that and they win.

And no, Tamphex made the decision to restrain him and cop the blame for it no matter what. The police officer told him AFTER the fact that it was a good thing to do. The man was walking away and could have started running, or could have spun around and attacked someone else before the cop got there. Considering that Tamphex saw this guy going off his rocker BEFORE he started walking towards Aaron, he didn't want to take that chance.

I agree with RSG and the police. Mark Hanna was clearly out of control. Tamphex made the right decision, which Mark Hanna immediately proved by lunging at another protester and grabbing his iPhone out of his hand.

And please spare me the next excuse that filming him was provoking him. Film is the only defense anon has against false accusations and set-ups, which OSA uses as stock in trade.

FWIW it looked to me (having now seen the second video) as if Hanna was demonstrating his 'ethics presence and enormous beingness' for the benefit of the audience (scios and anons) ... he was deliberately dramatizing as a part of his 'handling' because that would (in his assessment) communicate at 'wog level' ...

I think the aggressive 'grab and kiss' may have been a spur of the moment thing and it has backfired spectacularly.

I agree that it looked like a bog standard OSA entrapment job that went wrong, he was hoping that Aaron would 'show his true colours' and assault him, justifying the 'AVO' ... and Aaron DID show his true colours by remaining totally calm under pressure.



Knowing that Hanna genuinely believes he is saving the planet by saving scientology makes it hard to watch ... but that is part of the deal and these things have to be done to prevent the cult abuse continuing.
