Sam Travolta Jr., John Travolta's Nephew, has an interesting story.....

You can read about it here:

No no no no no...

Sam might make the critics C list but there's nothing least bit A list about him

And a good candidate for A list might punch out with a "look ma, I'm an asterisk" trick but suicide doesn't necessarily even qualify someone for B list and it's really in most cases strictly D list. We shall ever be firm in holding the suicide as executioner so long as they are at liberty or subject to Code Standard confinement

IMO many Cult suicides became suicides and not murders because they were not willing to kill anyone....or kill who was “attacking” them. The attackers are IMO the Cult and it methodology...

And you are not alone in the opinion.

There are some good reasons for divergent opinion but this board is a very poor venue for their expression and most certainly when CoS personnel badly apply questionable policy it's a bummer.

But shit happens everywhere and, again, athough we recognize a soldier's right to the last bullet and allow any means for escaping torture we hold the person at liberty responsible.

Period.

so...

Suicides are D list...

UNLESS!!!

You demonstrate Actuarial grade anomaly in suicide rate

Even Hollywood voice over celebrity Nancy Cartwright should be on this list.

Her fiance, OT 8, Stephen Brackett, killed himself...apparently over money for a Building Development Project that got diverted to the Scientology Cult. ( Gee....I wonder how that happened...? Crush Regged? )

Here's a couple links:

Okay,

Brackett can be nominated. The situation is clear cut enough to put him on

Cartwright also accepted as a nominee

How about long time Sea Org Member Enid Burns?

I doubt many Cult Members in Los Angeles didn't know who she was....the Top Reg at AOLA for decades. I believe her husband studied under Hubbard on the Apollo....but perhaps some here would know more about that.

Anyway....from what I heard, Enid died sitting at her desk at AOLA....from Cancer.

This is only what I've heard....I've been out for some time now.

Rather a frightening prospect....if she did die this way.

LOL....frightening Prospect....I think I just made a Registrar Joke. :D
Awww man...

Ain't nuthin' wrong with Enid. People who don't give a damn about the body and just keep on truckin' are my kind of people.

At your age you should have seen the flick "Test Pilot" by now. Gable says of his best pal's (Spencer Tracy) demise "He died working at his trade. What more can a man ask?"

This list of deaths should keep anyone pretty busy reading.....

I like the one where a guy at the Mace Kinsley Ranch in New Mexico...tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge.

But unfortunately....he landed on another person, killing him instead!

the link is not to a respectable website Leland

Serious critics will read such sites and perhaps note some of the information available there.

But NO.

Decidedly NOT a respectable website

CoS doesn't stipulate that CoS supervision is required for someone to consider themselves a Scientologist.

That has nothing to do with why CoS wouldn't claim him as a Scientologist. The only thing holding them back was the fear of Black PR.
CoS regards anyone who ever bought a Dianetics book (whether or not they ever read it) as a Scientologist, as far as membership numbers are concerned. They also count people who were audited by field auditors, whether or not they went on to an org. By that standard, Manson was a Scientologist.

"Clear" per se is something whose definition will never nailed to a wall. Is there something which can be definitively termed "The Reactive Mind" and can it be utterly undone as if it never was?
From the original DMSMH book in 1950 one learns:

Dianetics (from the Greek for “thought”) is “the science of the mind,” and is simpler, as exact, and far more useful than physics and chemistry.

— Dianetics is actually a collection of pursuits in the humanities that have been brought together and made “precise.”

— Dianetics is an “exact science” on the order of engineering.

Given that Dianetics is such an exact science and you're having such difficulty defining such a basic word you must have some serious misunderstood words!

Maybe go back to the point just before you picked up the DIanetics book and clear up your misunderstood. :D

Later in your same post you're having trouble defining "OT" as well. That's why you never arrived!

Yes, Pitsy, DMSMH was published in 1950 and it is a hot air balloon full of rhetoric and hypebole and promises along with some solid, intelligent and seminal nuts and bolts which by themselves would have never made the bestseller list and I don't have a problem with that because I'm glad the book was a bestseller. It's a BLOODY shame the general populace eats up horsecrap like it was a smorgasboard at Delmonico's but that's the world we live in...

The subject was and is experimental and developmental and if you find nothing in it I hope you check out the Tao Te Ching, Gibran's "The Prophet", our Judeochristian scripture and Mad Magazine...

There's a filmed piece from, I think, 1958 where Ron somewhat sheepishly admits the original work wasn't producing "clears". However, from the first auditing showed itself to be capable of producing desirable results and I have produced them which is not to say CoS doesn't suck because it does.

You could clarify things if you would specify what "desirable results" you are talking about.
