That briefing in post #83 was a joke, but it might not be so far from the reality for her. It must be terrifying. You have to see it from their viewpoint. The potential for things to go wrong (from their viewpoint) is HUGE.
Pope is a big, scary-looking (since he acts so psycho) guy. You gotta love the way they send a *woman* to stand next to him. Isn't the idea to stick cameras in people's faces to intimidate them? Doesn't seem to work too well with Pope, though. The "tech" came from David Gaiman, if I remember it right, back in the late 60s. The idea is to reverse the flow on reporters, who supposedly crumble at the reverse flow.
