The arrogance of ignorance (...) as wisdom.

Before I embark upon this spontaneous post I must boast of my holding the title of being the number 1 poster on ESMB that has rendered the most posts in the history of ESMB that has resulted in absolute silence, in response. Lol! Don't believe me? Emma has the proof.

Ok, ok, I can hear the chorus of : "That's because your posts are not worthy of any response at all" crowd. So be it. Given I live the most of my life in the silence & stillness & emptiness of being, such a response is both predictable & understandable, and brings a smile to my invisible face.

So be it.

Now then, the arrogance of ignorance disguised as wisdom is a topic worthy of this board, given that L. Ron Hubbard was a master of it. And his followers are merely following in kind, blindly and blissfully unaware of what the arrogance of ignorance (parading as wisdom) actually truthfully means.

Hubbard lied to himself to appease himself of the pain of accepting his ignorance of being. That is to say, he did not and could not understand why such a profoundly beautiful being as himself could find himself suffering the slings of the arrows of being a mere mortal man. Which he knew in his heart he was not.

For L. Ron Hubbard was a God and he knew it. Just as we are Gods and we know it too. But we simply can't and couldn't explain the why or the how or the when or the what that brought us down to this level of being, which being is that of mere man. Or in the words of Ron, mere wogs.

And L. Ron Hubbard imagined an answer. And did so with unparalleled flare.

His first task: discover the way in which a God as man was factually blind. And his second: to open their eyes. Which he did. Transforming ignorance into wisdom. Ala Science Fiction called Fact.

1. Arrogance of ignorance is a choice people make, you choose to learn or yearn for that which is important to you at various points in your life.
Therefore you are arrogant at yourself?
or do others see things differently to you?

Individualism is the key here.

Your making an opinion on someone elses view of themselves. If he lied to himself he would have to know the truth of himself and therefore is no longer ignorant. He has simply changd the perception fo himself.

Ron had a knack for storytelling. Not something all of us can do (with such fluidity, ease and persuasion like he). In fact, as a child he was interested in the underlying current of the meaning of life, in much the same way most boys are interested in marbles or crickets or tires tied to a rope (which rope is tied to a tree) until they experience their first erection. But for L. Ron Hubbard that interest in the underlying current of the meaning of life 'was' his first erection. A hard-on that never went away. So to speak. A psychological equivalent of viagra (some say).
