Bottom line: Kidman decided her priorities early on.

And it didn't appear to be her kids, who were essentially raised in Scientology by Tom.

She looked after Number One.

Perhaps in some ways it would not be so terribly lonely if only more people leaving who have lost friends and loved ones to scientology knew that in us they have new friends and loved ones who are there for them.

Yeah... I think that's one reason I hold such a sweet spot for ESMB.... when I left, I moved thousands of miles away, and pretty much every person that I had spent my time with, no longer was allowed to talk to me. Escaping the cult meant severing pretty much every relationship I'd had... unless someone's been through that, I don't know that they really get how that feels... it's sort of like you get suddenly transported to an alien planet, where nothing you knew even exists anymore.
