A post like this shows you're a foolish person. This is useless information. It's neither wise nor smart. Drop all the Scientology crap and learn to live life.

So when people, for instance, appear only to be normal and when you approach them you find out that they aren't approachable you're looking at an overt. It isn't comfortable for them to be around you because they aren't capable of assuming their real identity. Ok? That's a big indication of an overt.

No, people don't like your fixed dedicated glare. You can properly acknowledge that to the fat conman you adore so much.

Now, the word overt does mean from Latin "open" from aperire. "Ouvert" is the example I give from French. So it can imply and does imply in certain circumstances the public interface that people wear as opposed to let us imagine so this is interesting for us all, the hidden and possibly uglier truth of what they actually are. Ok?

So when we talk about overts we are talking about not just the Scientology definition but rather the idea of what people do put on in order to serve some usually hidden purpose. So, the terrorist wears the overt of a normal person. The murderer wears the overt of someone who cares. So usually the overt, in terms of a grounded definition, is simply just that: the created and/or assigned beingness that the individual wears around in different circumstances. Now quickly do note that good people can have overts. A Scientologist could have the overt of a wog for instance. And many do. So when people, for instance, appear only to be normal and when you approach them you find out that they aren't approachable you're looking at an overt. It isn't comfortable for them to be around you because they aren't capable of assuming their real identity. Ok? That's a big indication of an overt.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

ADJECTIVE
Done or shown openly; plainly or readily apparent, not secret or hidden:an overt act of aggression

  • Sometimes a stab is an overt piece of aggression visible for all to see, but there are more subtle ways of achieving the same aims.
  • We believe that a more rational approach requires the reorganisation or overt restriction of services.
  • The only exclusion criterion was overt signs of vitamin A deficiency, which was not present in any child.

I want to thank the original poster of this thread.

This thread was instrumental in me having the realization that the Pope on a Rope does not commit bad overts.

Even when he is mad.

In the case of the Pope on a Rope there is no such thing as a bad overt, there is only good (happy) and excellent (exstatic)
