THE SEMITIC VIEWPOINT

Heh.
Translation: Study this material and duplicate it and, if you don't understand then I will word-clear you until you duplicate it enough to agree with me.

Looks like you underestimate Bea. And, probably you never met a good word clearer.

A good word clearer always upholds self-determinism. The Semitic viewpoint doesn't.

I think you meant to write Zinj there, not Bea.

Now, *that* makes sense!

I *do* underestimate Zinj! Of course, it's a tenet of Zinjifarianism that I must underestimate my religious leader, so, all's right with the world.
but, if you don't have a litany of 'axioms' and 'stable data', who needs a 'word clearer'?

Hinduism has some outpoints, sure. But so does Xtianity.

Personally, I think Hubbard was trying to isolate the plus points and outpoints in and of the various religions as well as magick and psychotherapy.

I don't think he always succeeded- but in some respects, at some of the time, he did.

I think where Vinaire is coming from (I've read many of his posts on B'net, too) is that there's a different fundamental basis between vedic and semitic theory and practice.

And now some people are bitching him out about it. Ironic in view of the fact that those people like to go on and on about Scn'ists and Scn- yet seem unwilling to accord the privilege of doing the same thing re semitic vs vedic mindset to Vinaire. Hmmm....

Kinda fucked up, really.

I see some people wondering why these Scientologist in CoS cannot see all this alter-is and squirreling.

How about all these Jews and Christians and Muslims? Can't they see their religion being squirreled? Have they ever wondered about it? :omg:

Wondered about it?

What's there to wonder about?

Jesus and God said some stuff, and it's all in thar.

Nuthin' to wonder about!

Most of us here are not jews, christians, moslems. I assume most have some history with those religions, but, don't feel it necessary to justify them. Where someone *is* still a member of one of the religions, I think they might deign to 'justify' it, but, I don't see why they would need to, just in order to speak about Scientology.

One of the most fascinating appeals of this MB is the large number of 'born Scientologists' and very long-term Scientologists.

Accusing them of being christians or jews (or muslims) seems a bit bizarre :)
(Despite Scientology's claims to 'compatibility')

Quote by me:

I think the major problem with comparing religions to themselves and other views is that even though they will have some sort of base agreement, they will wander after the tree gets yay high. I subscribe to a religion, and in that way I have bound myself to whom I believe, and what I believe God to be. That is not a problem for me, it actually gets me through the day. The thing about a high priest (let's pick on the Catholics), is that they are given the authority and called by its name, "Father." In fact, when the pope isn't in his pop-mobile, he's usually sitting on a chair that gives him the authority of God. I have a problem with that. I also have a problem with the notion of Jihad. How do you know God wants you to nuke daycare centers? Don't you think that's a little off the deep end? No kidding, children in Russia drank their own urine! But considering Catholicism, you have one book in particular that does not get canonized. Why? Because Mary Magdalene was a woman, and there were 12 disciples, and depicting her as Jesus's favorite set the numberical and symbolic relationships off balance. Ever hear of the 13th apostle? He wasn't in the Bible cuz he's a black man! I think that's were it came from, because around 800 A.D. some pope comes out (can't remember who) and says Mary Magdalene was the prostitute that Jesus saved from being stoned to death. End of debate, end of the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, who doesn't have to be a disciple, but it is clear that she was Jesus's closest confidant, meaning he spoke privately with her. But noooooooo, we have to push women out of power and use sex as a control device. No wonder man's institution's are corrupt; need I remind you that Jesus overturned the tables of commerce that were placed in what he called, "My Father's place of business."

I think any person leaving Semitic religions for Scientology is quite a progress.

He would never be the same again.

I don't think it is just "semites" who hold the the "Semitic viewpoint." All corrupted "vedics" hold that viewpoint too.

And there are enlightened "semites" who hold the "Vedic viewpoint." :)

I was a "semite" in my last life.

Religion is a very personal thing.
By organizing it you make it political.
And by identifying with it you make it egotistical.

The words "Semitic" and "Vedic" may be associated with a certain type of identities.

I think that those people, who feel offended by this thread, may benefit greatly by getting some IDENICS sessions.

You are just fine as you are!
You want to know
You'll come to know
Who you really are.

No theety-weety condition formula application
Will ever get you there.
But now you have a chance
Because you really want to know.

Ok Vin, just remember that you are talking to someone born and raised in the Sea Org.

Yes, I have read the bible. But from the view that it was all BS. I have never read any other religious texts that I can recall.

And if I have a wholetrack, I dont remember much of it being very religious.

With all that in mind, dont let your jaw drop entirely to the floor with my questions, ok?

These are the words I dont know what you mean:

Semitic concept of God
Jehovah of Jews
God of Christians
Allah of Muslims

(Are they all just each different religions concept of God?)

and:

polytheism
monotheism

Peace. Give up on me, its ok.

I'll just dye my hair blonde and move off this thread. (But I wanna learn more)

Read the articles on my web site too to get some idea.
The most wonderful thing in the Bible is the Sermon on the Mount.
Also use Wikipedia.

Thanks,
V.
