"Tom Cruise was questioned for several hours this week during a deposition by attorneys for the plaintiffs in connection with a wiretapping lawsuit, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Cruise is accused of conspiring with his lawyer and a now-imprisoned private investigator to unlawfully record telephone conversations.

The action star faced three hours of questioning on Tuesday at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in New York, Radar has learned exclusively.

Cruise is being sued for $5 million by magazine editor Michael Davis Sapir who claims the actor and his lawyer Bert Fields had private investigator Anthony Pellicano tap his phone.

Pellicano was accused by federal authorities of wiretapping numerous people and is currently in federal prison after convictions on several charges.

The Sapir lawsuit was filed in 2009 but on Tuesday Cruise finally had to answer questions in person, and was deposed by Sapir’s side.

“It was all very secretive,” a source told Radar. “This battle has been ongoing and getting to the point where Cruise had to sit for a deposition obviously took a long time.

The lawsuit has its roots in a different legal action from more than a decade ago.

Cruise sued Sapir in 2001 after Sapir scandalously offered a $500,000 reward for video evidence that Cruise is gay. He later claimed he received an email with a video. The suit was settled and Sapir admitted that there was no tape showing Cruise in gay activity.

But Sapir now claims that Cruise conspired with Fields and Pellicano to illegally record conversations between Sapir and his attorney, gaining a strategic advantage in the 2001 action.

Sapir claims that Cruise learned through those conversations that Sapir's attorney worried the action star had too many financial resources for the editor to fight him, even though the attorney believed Sapir had a good case.

The plaintiff alleges that Cruise had a history of hiring Pellicano to conduct wiretaps and claims that during Cruise’s divorce from Nicole Kidman the PI wiretapped her and discussed what was heard with some of his employees.

“Cruise has denied any wrongdoing all along,” the source told Radar.

Fields did not return Radar’s call for comment but has previously denied any wrongdoing and said Pellicano was not involved in the 2001 Sapir case."

So Tom, who plays at make-believe for a living and belongs to a cult that promotes lying at whim (except when being audited, of course) if the scientologist in question feels at all threatened by telling the truth and wire-taps anyone, including each other, at will, of course will tell the truth about his private detective doing illegal wiretapping!

His entire wardrobe of pants, where ever he has wardrobes in this world, must have simultaneously combusted when he responded to these prosecutors.

I just hope that this could be grounds for perjury. I wonder who scientology is attacking in this scenario? Those prosecutors had better watch out for their cats and dogs and give their family, friends and co-workers a heads-up about the lies and smear campaigns directed against them that are going to be arriving soon.

Wouldn't it be sweet if Tom perjured himself and got sent to the pokey for a bit? It will never happen, but what a scenario. Then he could come out and make a movie about how he won over all those nasty prisoners with touch assists, etc. St. Tommy strikes again! He always wanted to be a priest - what a ministry a bunch of hardened felons would make. He could try out his slamming people against a wall techniques that he learned at Mismanage's feet (and fists).

Then the whole prison could become "at cause" over the guards and walk right out. When you're in prison, you've already had plenty of practice yelling at inanimate objects, like the bars to your cell.

We don't expect anything less from Tom Cruise - he has taken on the valence of David Miscavige. He thinks he is one of the elite here to save the planet!

He has learned HOW TO SUE by the Church of Scientology...the SCIENCE of SUING, Harassing, Bamboozling! Tom Cruise is a CRIM...just like Miscavige - and that is all he knows how to BE...an ASSHOLE! He is hurting people because he breathes life into the CULT - so he can be right about wasting 20 years, smashing his family apart 3 times - using Sea Org people as SLAVES - Tom Cruise is one of two that can save this planet! David Miscavige is the only other one!

I remember seeing a special on TV after his "Matt Lauer show" where he made an ASS of himself! He and Katie had camera's in his house trying to convince the public how WONDERFUL he was ...and how NORMAL they lived. :whistling:

A few years later - Katie BLOWS! :coolwink:

That could be an interesting box of snakes.

"...On March 17, 2006, the "Page Six" gossip column in the New York Post reported that actress Nicole Kidman was questioned by the FBI as part of the ongoing Pellicano investigation. Telephone voice recordings of Tom Cruise speaking to his wife at the time, Nicole, were found when authorities first raided Pellicano's offices in 2002. The tapes were allegedly made in 2001, shortly after the Cruises announced they were separating. Cruise used lawyer Dennis Wasser to negotiate his separation and Wasser regularly retained Pellicano's services. Although he has not been charged in the case, Wasser has been told by the FBI he is a "person of interest."[15][16]
Prominent Hollywood attorney Bertram Fields, a long-time client of Pellicano (lawyer for Tom Cruise), has repeatedly been connected to the ongoing federal wiretapping investigation in the press because of allegations that his celebrity clients have benefited from the former PI's alleged illegal wiretaps directed against members of the media and prominent critics. Carradine and Stevens pleaded guilty to charges they lied about Pellicano's activities against an opponent of one of Fields's clients. Fields has said in statements release by his attorney that he had no ...."

Bert Fields's name comes up in so many Tom Cruise stories that I have to believe there is more than Nicole Kidman's phone that was tapped.

Also, Marty Singer's names comes up frequently in connection to Scno. I wonder if this is going to be the nuclear footbullet that gets DM and TC tossed into the clink.
