This is why I initially thought Rathbun lacked moral authority to take on a leadership role amongst independents. Ultimately, it may be his undoing if and when the time comes to replace management, which remains doubtful in and of itself. The question is whether it would be desireable in light of viable alternatives. One thing is for certain - he knows and loves the tech, as any devotee should, and as any leader must.
And as you initimate (I think), this is perfectly OK. Right at this moment there is not a "wrong" way of handling the situation. Staying in and riding out the storm may be preferable in some cases. The future remains uncertain. Those remaining just need to rest assured that Scientology will continue on regardless of what happens. To deny them this reality is cruel as there is nothing inherently evil about auditing itself. And if it's not auditing, then as far as I'm concerned it's not "the tech".
I don't intend this as an endorsement, but rather granting Scientologists the same consideration I would any other religion or belief system.
I disagree, emphatically, I think auditing is a gross misconduct on the part of the person being audited.Being "audited"is part of the "tech" of scientology and it is this that causes people to be damaged irreparably.just the mere thought that the E-meter has any credence is fraudulent in itself, let alone any form of supposed counseling. The whole set up is a con of fantastic proportions and imagine the whole thing is filmed without the person knowing. And, even if they did know by this point they would think it was for "the greatest good" because they have been indoctrinated in this way.
Don't come this, I don't intend this as an endorsement with me, it won't work! Scientology should not be granted the same considerations as any other religion, because they are not and have never been a religion, ever! It was done purely to gain access to real religious ministers and governments and every god damned aspect of cultural life in order to gain control of the masses and if you think I am joking then you need your head testing. When I see London Police officers, world leaders, local MPs and the likes of celebrities endorsing the works of L. Ron Hubbard, I am going to be alarmed, very alarmed!. I cannot stress this enough, but do you want me to live my life in total fear, continually, forever? I do find some of the tactics of Scientology hilarious, purely because, the whole thing beggars belief, they are very scary, very, very f**king scary! But, as a favorite critic of mine says "I would rather die knowing the truth than living a lie" or words to that effect.
I am being very open and honest here and if you can't see that, then you have some serious problems.
When I was a young girl and Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard took the best of me and tore me apart, broke me into a million fragments and they did break me into a million fragments of myself, I wanted to end it all. But, not now, not now, you see all this talk about the "wins" in Scientolgy only exist in the mind, and when you are deep into scientology these"wins" only exist in a reactive mind that doesn't exist at all, but, you are told it does, and this is told to you by a nuclear physicist, who can dispute that? Certain people DID, and they were right!
I could go on and on, but it's late, I am tired and I think you must get the picture by now, but if you don't then I don't really think there is much hope, let alone Faith and Charity.
