Why?
It went to shit after he bawed about being "handled". It was deliberate. He wanted to provoke & he did. He got what he wanted - a reason to say "Poor widdle me".
Anyway - he asked for an opinion and I gave him one. If he couldn't handle the truth he shouldn't have asked.
True he shouldn't have asked for an honest answer if he wasn't going to be willing to hear the answer.Sometimes, the cruelest thing that can be done to a person, is being nice.
Sometimes, the nicest thing that can be done to a person, is speaking the cold, harsh, "cruel" truth as one sees it.
YMMV
Don't want to derail this thread (if it is possible), but what hurts me this morning was how much credit he has... I remembered a thread about myself and my OSA past, what hurted me very much and you was there to help me and the most other ESMBler weren't there and now we have here a Alonzo and for what reason ever he gets credits and helps... This made me very angry and feeling sad.

I know it is old, but it still hurts me sometimes in some moments. It was a very horrible time for me.

Well, Nicole, there's one little snippet of "wisdom" I hadn't told you yet, because I thought you needed to find that one out for yourself. But OK, here it is: "Life isn't always fair."![]()

Jesus Christ. What a drama queen.
There's a whole wide world out there where things are happening. The economy is about to explode; Fukushima is possibly going to kill us all; there's huge changes happening in cultydom with cancelled events and where is the Dwarf etc.
Who gives a fuck what's happening inside Alanzo's mind?

Good bye Emma.
After all we've talked about in chat, for you to answer like this, I don't think i have any patience for you any more.
Please ban me or whatever you are going to do to me.
I'm done with you.

Well, as everybody knows (yes, that's a generated reality), my grasp of the English language isn't the best. Anyway, since the lyrics of this song seem to be about some cruel beatings (or so), I think it belongs here. So here it is:

You know, every time I see the German word for "nose", I think of the Yiddish word for "idiot" - but I think the Yiddish word is from a devoicing of the "b" in "butzen" to "p", which is a common linguistic mutation in Germanic and Slavic languages, because originally it meant all style and no substance, IIRC.
But I still wonder about the connection between "nose" and the secondary meaning of the Yiddish word as "dick".
) analogy for "penis".Up here in the North East where I live, there are a lot of Yiddish words in circulation: schlep, shtick, putz, nosh, zaftig, chutzpah, dreck, kitsch, kvetch, maven, mensch, schlock, schmutz, schmuck, klutz, glitz, schmaltz.
I bolded the ones I think are in wider circulation beyond the cities with large Orthodox populations.
I love historical linguistics.![]()
Dude, don't be falsely modest. Your English is excellent. I wish my Chinese was half as good.

Well, there's this old German saying "Wie die Nase des Mannes, so auch sein Johannes". "Johannes" being a (politically correct) analogy for "penis".
I only know Yiddish from some Ephraim Kishon stories, but always reminded me of the East-prussian dialects I've heard.
LOL, you wouldn't want to know how long it takes me to get a simple message out in halfways proper English and I have very good reasons to never order a meal from my favorite Chinese restaurant in THEIR language.![]()
), but I am fully aware of the consequences of a mis-order.

I would have to be an idiot to continue to take this.
Truly - Fuck off.
Everyone.
