I was wondering how the dude was making a video critical of "hard sell". Wondering how he would possibly be in the COS without getting C/Sed for "hard ethics".

Yes, but he addressed (and quite frankly, I could see him struggle with) something I wasn't aware Reges thought and hadn't thought of myself in that context. Say a Reg has someone who they assess is in apathy (what is that, 03?), or grief (0.5?) or even covertly hostile (1.1, who could forget that?). The Reg pisses the person off, makes them really angry, and brings them "up" to 1.5 -- anger. BIG WIN! The Reg fully expects to bring up from 1.5, anger, the next time and make the sale --- rather than never see the person again.
The guy in the video doesn't articulate it with that precision, but that is what he is addressing -- and struggling with. At point in the video he even admits that sometimes (i.e., in the scenario I describe) maybe pissing the customer off really isn't a bad thing....

Then, if it all goes bad (which it usually does) they will DO anything or Say anything to "get their product" of tricking the public by calling the screwup a huge win. The best example is Hubbard suddenly going 'total effect' and unexpectedly dying. They created whopper BIG LIES to try to make it look like it was a miraculous OT event where Ron made it go right to exteriorize, get DevT off his lines (his body) and advance into outer space where he could do unthinkably OT research to help mankind. Nice win, eh?
In the case of this Indie video, it would go down something like this. . .
