They both have had close connections to organized crime.

For anyone interested, there is almost as much hyperbole, scheming, spinning and LYING in the film industry as their is in the cult of Scientology.

But, instead of promising to make people into worshipped Gods with supernatural powers, the movie rackets promise to make people into worshipped Movie Stars (a special kind of God) with supernatural bank account balances.

Here's a quick peek into the blatant lying and criminality that is part of why Gotti is a disaster. . . (aside from the simple and obvious fact that the producers didn't know how to produce, the director didn't know how to direct, the actors didn't know how to act and the writer didn't know how to write).

LOL. Lionsgate NEVER EVER would have released the film back to the producers or another distributor if they thought they could make money from it. They knew it was a bomb, so they were more than happy to bail out and let the "producers" pretend that it was a win that they got the film back.

Now, how about Gotti "Executive Producer" KEYA MORGAN saying that he predicts "gangbuster" box-office numbers and "awards"? LOL LOL LOL

What kind of lying freak would say such an outrageous pack of lies?

ANSWER: A con man.

Keya Morgan is a shady Hollywood character who is currently in the news for trying to steer legendary Marvel Comics founder and mega-rich old dude STAN LEE into a web of deceit and control of his vast fortune and portfolio of movie properties. Morgan was keeping Stan Lee under "house arrest" not giving anyone including family access to him. The police had to be called and a RESTRAINING ORDER issued against him for elder abuse and other charges.

I thought Armand Assante did a terrific job as John Gotti, slick, bombastic, but​

In the past the CIA has used water boarding as a form of "enhanced interrogation" to extract information from suspected terrorists. I believe it would be more effective for them to play these movies over and over again 24/7. Battlefield Earth anyways. I can't really say that for sure about Gotti as I've not seen it as yet. And I've got no plans to see it really. That would be 100 minutes of my life I'd never get back, and often it's better to learn from the experience of others rather than having to duplicate their errors.

I really do believe that repeating Battlefield Earth over and over could work eventually, but if I'm wrong and it didn't then just repeat the song "Thank-you for Listening" over and over for a week or so and that should do the trick.

I don’t know what the heck Travolta was thinking by taking on this project to begin with! For all the years I lived in NYC and read the major daily papers, i rarely ever saw a photo of John Gotti looking the way Travolta portrays in those photos released after Cannes. Gotti was a mean man but he always kept his cool in public. Even during his trial. Known as Dapper John Gotti, he dressed like a star, smiling often, even on the way to prison.

I felt like Travolta might have gotten a case of TMJ after looking at that tight face in every photo released. Gotti was beloved by all in his of neighborhood, because he kept it safe, sponsoring sport games, had lots of block party BBQs during the summers. Yes, he was a crook, so is the son Travolta got tight with. I guess that’s where the bad advice came from, wanting to make Gotti Sr look like the biggest badass when he as a short punk who knew how to make others do the dirty work, smile for the cameras and get love from the neighborhood. His son was a young teen when a lot of Sr.’s crimes went down. I’m sure he thought dad was God. So Travolta goes and gets enamoured by Jr and makes a really bad movie. That’s what you get when you forget to recognize evil on a daily basis as a scientologist.

And Kelly Preston playing daughter Victoria? What a joke.

This was a mistake from the start. Armand Asante’s portrayal is so much more like Gotti (thanks, IL2L)

t this point, the idea of a group attempting to manipulate audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes is hardly a new one. In the last year, blockbusters such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Black Panther have each fallen victim at time to brigading, the act of mobilizing large online crowds to simultaneously downvote a film in an effort to hurt its rating. Rotten Tomatoes even made a statement about the attempted manipulation of Black Panther’s score.

The thing is, though, that “manipulation” can go both ways. And as one savvy reddit user noticed in a post published on Tuesday morning, there seems to be some very strange stuff going on in the user ratings for the John Travolta gangster film Gotti, all of which point to some more possible manipulation at play.

I went to take a look at the written reviews on RT and of the first 58 reviewers with an available profile, 45 had created their account in June 2018. Out of these 45, 32 have only reviewed Gotti, 10 reviewed Gotti and another movie (7 times it was American Animals for some reason) and 3 had more than 3 reviews.

Of the remaining 13 accounts, 8 looked normal and 5 had created their account in December (The Last Jedi?) so those were probably legit.

A flood of new accounts that have only reviewed one film? Nope, nothing suspicious about that.

Scientologists has a long history of attempting to manipulate Best Seller lists in the publishing industry, including for Battlefield Earth. I have a very strong suspicion that they're manipulating review sites for this Gotti movie as well.

I hope that Rotten Tomatoes and other review sites look into this.

I just spent 15 minutes on Rotten Tomatoes and checked 10 or so user profiles of those giving 5 star reviews to the Gotti movie.

What Jim Vorel of Paste Magazine was alleging above seems to be spot on! The user profiles of those I checked either were just created this month or didn't seem to even exist when I attempted to locate them.


One of the audience reviewers is making a claim of manipulation on Rotten Tomatoes as well. Here's a snip of a screen shot:



It isn't necessarily Scientologists involved with the manipulation as it could be others involved with the production and/or marketing of the movie. But I wouldn't be surprised if Scientologists contributed to this given their history.

The people behind Gotti are trying to protect their asset with major "positive review" trolling on ROTTEN TOMATOES.


They are simultaneously claiming that "Trolls" are responsible for the bad reviews, even going to the trouble of creating a first-ever promotional trailer that attacks the critics who gave it a "ZERO" on Rotten Tomatoes. Rotten Tomatoes told Mashable in an email that all of the reviews for Gotti are made by real users. This likely only implies that they weren't posted by bots, not that they're actually legitimate reviews.

Critics hated Gotti and according to box office numbers, the movie was barely seen by anybody in its opening weekend.
Yet it's received quite a lot of five-star Rotten Tomatoes reviews in the past couple days from non-critic users. Perhaps a few too many five-star reviews.

This is suspicious, to say the least, and may suggest that the marketing team behind Gotti is manipulating the movie's audience score on Rotten Tomatoes with fake accounts showering Gotti with undeserved praise.

Dan Murrell of Screen Junkies pointed out Monday that Gotti's Rotten Tomatoes audience score was suspect, comparing it to reviews of other recent movies on the site.

Despite only opening in roughly 500 theaters, Gotti has received more than 6,900 audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, while Incredibles 2, which opened in about 4,400 theaters (and made about 180 times more money), has received just over 7,600. Those numbers don't really add up.

A pattern begins to form after a closer look at who is reviewing Gotti so well. The majority of users who scored the movie a full five stars created their accounts in June and only reviewed Gotti and maybe one other movie. Interestingly, a whole bunch of accounts that gave Gotti five stars are private.

When I left the theater my space felt calm and I realized that Travolta had turned in an Oscar-winning performance, way better than Brando in The Godfather. Travolta and his wife, on the other hand, are against Psychs and often gives out free autographed "PSYCHIATRY KILLS" t-shirts.

I loved the movie so much and still am having wins about how John Gotti Sr. kept his integrity in by never compromising and ratting out his comrades. I think Travolta showed us the humanitarian side of Italian people and proved that they are not all evil killers and mafia thugs. John, as an Italian American, has done a lot of humanitarian work against religious bigotry and evil on this planet, and anyone who would attack him is obviously a sociopathic psychotic.

I want to go on record here that I am not a Scientologist trying to boost John's box-office bomb. I am a wog who just happened to love the movie and also a person who wants to help John create a world without criminality!

There was something particularly interesting about so many of these new audience reviewers joining this month and either just reviewing Gotti or Gotti and one other movie which happened to be American Animals.
