Daily Mail:

John Travolta has been surrounded by controversy since the release of HBO's Scientology exposé Going Clear at the end of March.

However, the 61-year-old star has remained in good faith with the church, and put on a happy face while attending a premiere for The Forger on Saturday.

The actor was all smiles as he greeted crowds at the Clearwater, Florida theater to celebrate the upcoming thriller.

snip:

Recently, John found himself defending his relationship with the Church of Scientology, following the premiere of HBO documentary Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood & The Prison Of Belief.

The doc claims that Scientologists hold a 'blackmail file' on John to stop him leaving the faith, which includes 'damaging material' from his sessions with auditors at the church.

However, in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times, John said: 'I haven't experienced anything that the hearsay has (claimed), so why would I communicate something that wasn't true for me?'

The actor also spoke for the only celebrity whose dealings with Scientology get more screen time in Going Clear than his own, Tom Cruise.

I've seen 2 recent interviews with JT where he looks a bit drunk, just like in that picture. He's stuck on Book and Bottle. Push the (LRH) book, Drink what's in the bottle.

HELPFUL TIP TO AGING SCIENTOLOGY MOVIE STARS: Team up with Will Farrell for one of those (Ron Burgundy) "ANCHORMAN" blockbuster sequels. For John, it could be called:

ACTORMAN: The Legend of Jon Burgundy

Yikes!

I have not seen this photo before. I am shocked!

To Hollywood, for JT to come on Letterman with a rug is tantamount to selling Monsanto gluten filled Crispy Cream Doughnuts.

You gotta be yourself man. Ugly is Manly.

Scientology is all about fake image. Truth has nothing to do with it. Life change has nothing to do with it.

John HAS to project the "successful" image he had when he was young and a megastar. He is not allowed to show he is older. The fact he looks like an idiot with a small dead animal stapled to his head is as nothing compared to the image the cult demands he projects.

:hysterical:

On the other hand, what is "real" to John is that his hair has miraculously grown back in and his newfound (unbelievably Dorian Grayesque) youthful appearance is being widely celebrated--and mankind is once again flowing power to Scientology on this planet.

ps: And, as far as that animal on his head, it's just more proof (as if that is even needed!) that as an upper level Scientologist, John's 5th Dynamic is surviving in abundance! Condition of Power, yayyyyyyyy!
