It's always refreshing to see young people take an interest in the facts behind Scientology & make a documentary on it for a school project. I hope alot of their fellow students watch it & learn from it. :)

I should watch it before I comment.

If only more people in this world felt the same way.

Sadly, it's all to obvious many people feel perfectly comfortable giving their opinion on something without ever reading or watching the subject in question.

My review:

Video #1 is a very simple explanation of scientology aimed at an audience who knows nothing about the cult. It uses pure scio propaganda aimed at wogs (i.e. info found at scio web sites). At the end, it talks about one person's leaving the SO and the (freeloaders) debt they were given. Contains about 90% positive, 10% negative aspects of the cult. It never says it's a cult nor considered a cult by anyone.

Video #2 can almost be used as a recruitment video for the cult. The last section focuses on the fact that Tom Cruise is a scio and how he feels that scio is wonderful and helps the world. Also the audio is horrible...the music track all but obliterates the voice track and you have to really listen to understand what the narrators are saying.

If you knew nothing about scio and you were a young person, these videos would leave you with a very positive view of the cult...that it is a real religion that is trying to help people and the world. Also, that Tom Cruise and John Travolta are really happy that they are scientologists and are grateful that scio helped them in their lives.

The videos were created by students who visited scio web sites and regurgitated the cult propaganda. They used stock images from the cult. They were probably learning how to put together a video 'report' and chose scio as their topic.

I watched 20 seconds of each. At this moment the YouTube view counts show as 21 and 33. The audio in that second one is abysmal (mic noises etc, not just the music volume) so I can only surmise this is not a group project but simply efforts by individual students practising making movies or something.

How did they get to do this subject, Smurfie? Did you put them up to it? How did you find out about it?

LRH makes some derogatory comments about the University of Chicago....on the BC tapes....:eyeroll:

I believe....If I remember correctly that he states that "fall down drunks go there".....or something like that.

Perhaps someone else has a better recollection of exactly what he says....
