URGENT - help needed from those in Syd Org, 2000

The CofS had put out a media statement re circumstances surrounding Lauren Schofields death, in 2000.

It's lies!!! - Can anyone who was there that day who has ANY data, please contact me ASAP.

Coppas, or at least "D's" know when someone is lying.....they get the truth out of them. QC's and prosecuters do the same.

Yeah, I wonder if they do know what they are up for. I can't believe that anyone around at that time would do it for the CofS.

Carmel, I heard the same story you heard; that Lauren was in the care of a 14 year-old kid along with a bunch of other kids and that she "got away" and up the stairs. I heard that Paul was on post at the time and that Caz was at Sunday Service.

What a complete shift of Responsibility that Press Release is. Scientology will never take responsibility for EVER doing wrong, if anyone had any doubts before then this should convince them.

Also, what would be helpful is anyone who has direct knowledge of the CofS Sydney Day and FDN (or any org in Aussie for that matter), in regard to child minding promoted and given when various functions were held.

We are wanting info in regard to:

- Orgs promoting child care facilites to get people to org functions, and the standard of those facilities at the time.

- The room/space where the kids were being minded that day, and the level or safety of the that room or space.

- Whether Paul/Scooter was posted as a nanny that day, or on post as Qual Sec, which included being the examiner.

- The incident itself.

I have some data/eye witness accounts already, but we need more. There are aspects of it which aren't covered. Your trust won't be betrayed by Paul or myself..... Any and all data is valuable.......and you can tell us what we are permitted to do with it and/or divulge. I promise you that we'll stick to that.

If ya want the abuses and crimes to stop, then please come foreward.....you won't be put in jeopardy for doing so.

CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY RESPONDS TO
XENOPHON ALLEGATIONS ON TODDLER’S DEATH

In a speech in the Senate last week, Senator Nick Xenophon made serious allegations
against the Church of Scientology in relation to the tragic death of 14-month-old Lauren
Schofield in February 2000.

These allegations were false, as were other allegations made in the same speech and
which the Church of Scientology will be similarly responding to in coming days.

“Based on detailed evidence, Deputy State Coroner Jacqueline Milledge ruled that
Lauren’s death was an accident and that an inquest was unnecessary,” Church
spokeswoman, Virginia Stewart said today.

“It was a devastating accident that affected the whole Sydney Scientology community and
distressed many people who knew and loved the Schofield family.”

Ms Stewart said Senator Xenophon had claimed in his speech that ‘Lauren, who was 14-
months-old, was being babysat at the organisation’s building in Sydney, when she was
allowed to wander the stairs by herself and fall’.

“This claim is false,” Ms Stewart said. “Two witness statements attest that Lauren was in
the care of her father, Paul Schofield and three teenagers, at the time of the accident.

“She was not wandering the stairs by herself but rather walked to the top of the stairs
while she and a group of small children were being moved from one room to another,
under close supervision.

“Both witness statements clearly attest that Paul Schofield was a matter of a few metres
from his daughter when she fell down a flight of stairs.

Yes, by chance or co-incidence Scoots was on the stairs about 5 metres away I think, when Lauren was making a dash for it below, and fell into stairwell.

That's some "omitted" data.....The statement that Scoots was minding Lauren, is an outright lie. He was on post. His wife Caz was in the org with Lauren and their newborn, for a church service.....that's why the kids were in the org that day, and that's why the church had a "creche" arrangement, where Lauren was being "minded".

Let me see if I get this strait. The people involved in this tragic incident provide evidence that they lied to the civilian authorities to protect the church. Because of these material misrepresentations, the coroner rules the death accidental and finds that no inquest is necessary. The church now says "the coroner found the death accidental and no inquest was necessary.

Am I the only person that smells bullshit?
