What's new

video of TC on Barbra Walters special

Yes, it's possibly the reason why he's stepping back. I wonder how DM reacted to that decision? I mean, putting his career before scientology? what about "for the greater good" and all that? No one is allowed to put their career in before scientology. But maybe celebrities are?

It is DM's carreer, not tc's. Prolly can find it on tha org board.

Let me try... Physically tired or Failed Purpose?
I'm guessing Failed Purpose!

Well, at least you didn't offer the OT III alternative of Incomplete Incident 1's. :)

Do you remember that one? I only do because I used to sup OT III and got very, very familiar with the pack.

You gotta wonder. DM is never going to tell anyone to talk less about scn. I think TC went through a for real manic phase about scn - which is what cults do to people - and the reality of acting like an ass and the impact it has had may be sinking in. He was in "power" but blew it.

Manic is it. And since manic is not self-determined, guess what? Neither is the depression that folllows (Alan calls them "ascension experiences". And they are always followed by a crash and burn.)

That should be an indicator of actual tone level......respond accordingly.

His promoting Scientology on movie sets and in the media must have been spotted as a problem for those movies making money, and so he has stepped away from that. Doesn't mean he won't keep giving them his money. Also doesn't mean I won't see Valkyrie, which looks like a cool movie to me.

Come on, Cruise as a Nazi? What could be better for his image?

Yes you could call it manic or maybe something else. But that's what they do to people. They tell them they are right about everything, and everybody else is wrong and it can bring about this phony exhilaration that isn't rooted in reality. There was a thread about the derogatory terms of scn. That's the point of them all. To say all the abuse you are putting up with is because we know but everybody else is stupid and don't know so we just have to keep going. And I agree this part is "other determined" but the down side is self determined, as you begin to realize you've been played like a violin. I'm not saying he's manic depressive, just saying this is a key mechanism the "church" or any cult uses.

Ok, so now let's figure out, just for the hell of it, who DM will put in Tom's place.

Danny Masterson? Bodhi Elfman (oh wait, is he the Scilon or his brother? I forgot already.) How about that guy from Earl? Maybe JT will come back on board. Or perhaps a woman like Kirsti Alley?

I think dm must be feelin mighty low. Nobody else will be quite the same. Maybe somebody should write a little breakin up song. :bigcry:

Another one bites the dust.

What a loser. There's nothing I hate more than when I tell people I'm a scientologist and they say "Oh, like Tom Cruise?". Totally disgusting. He's a frigging robot, and he's the one who's glib, no ARC or presence in his dead eyes.

Ironic that his wife is on Broadway. He'd never make it there. Another failure on DM's track of failures.

From the last few interviews I've seen, I think this is the next guy to be "onboard on the same terms" as TC

Will Smith would be awesome, compared to the previous bozos.

I'd love a Kevin Spacey, a Donald Sutherland or someone really great. But under DM's watch? Won't happen.

I doubt Will is gonna step up. He is still denying he's a scilon. I guess he still cares about his career.

I think Davey is going to have a hard time getting anyone to take the job.

Davey can't even deliver the goods. Why bother with bringing in the sheep?:confused2:

I dunno. The Co$ has always courted celebs. They are considered opinion leaders and the public has this facination with them. Davey sure wouldn't be a good spokesperson. He's even shorter then TC. Short people usually get little respect. :D

Davey's not a scientologist so he can't apply. :p

Americans in general get little respect, short or tall.
