Anybody reads Dutch in here?

Google does: http://translate.google.com/transla...erdamse.scientology.kerk.helpt.japan/&act=url. Looks like a verbatim press release from the cult, translation errors excepted.

SUBMITTED After the earthquake, Japan is in ruins, the roads are still poorly accessible and there is a great scarcity of fuel. The emergency services have therefore not easily accessible and often do not deliver what the emptier places. This began to be increasingly difficult and was a major problem for the government.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers who shelter a man in a Secondary school came as a solution. Their motto is "Something can be done". And that there is indeed something could be done was demonstrated by the solution they came up with: bicycles.

A large bicycle factory was asked for a donation of 32 bicycles that were more than willing to donate. The students of the school where the reception is where the Volunteer Ministers' services were only too willing to help distribute the food and water. Together they screwed a sign on each bike bearing the logo of their school and the motto "Something can be done."

One council member was the kick off the cycling and delivery in his speech thanked the Volunteer workers and students for their good work. Then left the bikes to every corner to serve the affected population to assist.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers team since the disaster has already helped over 48,000 people in dozens of centers by emergency water and food to share around. They are recognizable by their yellow jackets and get many requests to come and help. The program was launched in 1976 by the founder of Scientology, Mr. Hubbard. Today there are over one hundred thousand people are trained to function as a Volunteer Minister.

How very exciting...NOT.
I wonder how many followers CoS gets in Holland. They do have a very nice building in Amsterdam.

A group that has over a billion dollars in cash assets collects 32 donated bicycles for a devastated country.

Damn they are big hearted !

And how many volunteers did they send there?

With what kind of food, water, medicine , clothes in aid for the locals?

Glory be !

haha
a very good point actually. The bicycles are not even Church's. I suppose they just wanted to make some noise in Holland.

Maybe they should donate a few hundred copies of "All About Radiation" by L. Ron Hubbard, I'm sure those poor people could use a little comedy to take their minds off of what they are going through.

You're evil! Have't those people suffered enough?
