This thread warms my heart. And Warrior deserves all the help we can give. There are more out there in the world of $cn escapees who need help too.

This came in from Mark today:

'Thanks to everyone who has helped me. I'm not out of the woods yet so please don't stop. I really appreciate everything everyone has done. You are a bunch of fantastic friends! I am writing personal thank you notes to all.'

Please keep helping!

Some days I am a total dummy on the Internet. PayPal didn't work for me.
I sent a check via Priority Mail to his home address.

phenomanon

The Post Office appreciates the extra money, however, letters usually arrive just as quickly when sent first class.

It's the way the mail is processed. A single letter thrown into all the parcels gets processed by hand and shifted to a variety of processing areas--or is put into HUGE! machines which can sometimes overlook a single letter that gets buried under a box.

Or the letter is diverted to the first class letter processors because differentiating a First Class letter from a Priority letter ...? The mail just moves through in too great a quantity.

A letter will go through optical scanners which sort thousands (35,000?) per hour.

Not to downgrade the Postal Service. Every Christmas one of the local news channels sends packages Fed Ex, UPS and USPS. Despite a tawdry reputation, the Postal Service almost always wins.

Has anybody been able to help out with a job offer so far? I don't know what he will do without a job.

Too much personal info? Sorry.

I didn't mean to detract...but I loved what Face wrote.

Please remember this: When people need help...it isn't the volume of an amount.
It's the volume of people that actually chip in.
One time at Flag a friend was trying to get $$ for his book.
Being there, I was nearly broke.
So I made him a card---with TONS of quarters on it, saying I HOPED
each quarter brought him $1,000.

He later told me that touched him more than anything.
Who knew?
Sooooooooooooooooooo love to all, and again, sorry if my story was too personal. :flowers2:

Tory/Magoo

That wasn't too personal or detracting at all, IMO. I was just trying to give some background to the opening segment of your wonderful Video and you filled in important, apropos and germane missing pieces.

I believe in Spiritual Connections, too. :coolwink:

I haven't read this thread fully, but here in California, for example, there are social service agencies that will help with a month or two's worth of bills, if someone can prove that they are behind. I can't even begin to know what the scene is in Texas. Usually companies that rent out lots of apartments have lists of agencies and phone numbers to call for helping their tenants when they get into trouble.

IIRC, Texas is notorious for being extremely tough to deal with in re social programs and such. I've heard about that. Still, no harm in trying to get some help.

I'm glad people are pitching in, too.

If you can spare a couple of bucks, and haven't already, please help

Purple Rain,

Mark has been looking actively for a job since last March and he has worked since the 7th grade to help his family, so he wants nothing more than to get back to work so he can support his critic habit. :hattip:
.
One friend has stepped up and will help with certain aspects of the job search and another stepped up with some part-time work.

Of course, he tried every avenue possible before he reached out to his friends online.

Hoping what we all do will at least get some basic things covered to give him a 2 week breather to get a job.

Has anybody been able to help out with a job offer so far? I don't know what he will do without a job.

Yeah.
I paid the Postal Service 18.65 for Priority Mail.
And I knew that it prolly wouldn't get there any sooner than First Class postage would ( get there).
]It's all good.

Agree! My husband did the same via Priority Mail day before yesterday with some financial help for Mark. Having met the man myself in '2009, (and his sweet wife,) I do believe this a worthy cause and focus. The multiple shitstorms the cult threw at him for his past scientology exposure efforts, deserves recognition and assistance.

Thank you so much to all who posted and helped Mark.

And here's more from WWP,

Warrior or anyone having challenges making their mortgage payments in the U.S., go to:

makinghomeaffordable.gov

The dot gov tells you it is a government run program.

It's a U.S. government mortgage assistance program with relief options designed to help you stay in your home. There is a help line number, videos, and information on local events to inform the public. The program has been extended to 12/31/2013.

@Sweetness and Light-- I sent off the Mortgage info and assistance you posted on this thread off to Mark. Thank you!

Here's my honest and direct perspective relevant to this topic.

Thought #1; I'm a guess'n with Paul Haggis, Lawrance Wright, Jon Atack, Steve Hassan, and others topping the current news cycles re: $cn, THEY (the cult, and cult believers,) are having a very hard time meeting their corporate loan obligations (mortgages, etc.) also. They too are ~out there~ seeking ways to avoid default and foreclosure -- a "push" so to speak, to seek an income stream. In "war," all is fare. You either choke the funding for the bad guys, or help the good guys. It's a basic understanding I believe.

Thought #2; Who the F@#$% in $cn structure or management, cares about it's members' and followers' needs to meet their loan or mortgage obligations?

Thought #3; When folks come back from war crippled and wounded, is it not a good thing to support them because they did do the fight? -- they were brave!

This is where I am coming from with aid for Warrior. Personally, I went through some really really bad times with my personal battles with $cn. At times it was very dark and seemingly a world without understanding and help. Many came to the rescue though, so now is my time to return the favor. It's not just about money ($$$$$$$,) it's about caring. I got through it, but not w/o some severe scars for me and my children.

My '2006 film The Bridge, with all the cult's attempts to silence it aside, is still out there on youtube, xenu-directory.net, and xenutv.com to watch. I would encourage all of you to do so. And then give MOAR to the likes of Mark Plummer.

My 2 cents, tp

Didn't you mean war is "fair," not "fare?" Although there is an argument for semantics in the scientology mind-think world.

I enjoyed your acting in The Bridge Red Valiant, and I have sent Mark what I could. Yes, it obviously has been a war with an evil cult and as Anonymous and many here would say. This is Why.

So much suffering caused by a surreptitious and diabolical conman and his deceived and defrauded followers. I hold great respect those who as you did held the line against one of mankind's enemies.
