"We of the Church believe" except...when it is okay to impinge on your human rights

It says in part: "We of the Church believe: That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others."

Wow...I just re-read this for the first time in a long time! I most certainly have
"total certainty" now in a "new unit of time" that the Church of Scientology does the opposite of what it publishes in its glossy books and promo.

If you are a Scientologist - you have no rights except to empty your bank accounts, shut the fuck up about it and sign your billion year contract. When the Church of Scientology is done with you - you are discard value only!

That idea is a wonderful idea:

"That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others."

It is an IDEAL that should be aimed at being attained, by all people and groups. Tolerance is such a much-needed trait on this planet.

But, as far as Scientology is concerned it is entirely PR. It is something to post on a wall in a frame, so that when somebody comes to "checkout Scientology", then some PR person can point to it and say, "see we are really good righteous people".

In FACT, if anyone bothers to closely examine the BEHAVIOR of Hubbard and the Church of Scientology, honestly, right from its early beginnings in the 1950s, that IDEA has been violated OVER and OVER and OVER by the Church of Scientology. And, these many violations are based on MANY policies by Hubbard that demand exact behaviors by Scientology staff and public that very much go against that ideal.

It is, how does one say it, "all smoke and mirrors". It is part of the "stage show", to distract the dupes.

While one hand is waving and distracting you, the OTHER hand is doing something else. This is simply a part of Hubbard's grand trickery. Only instead of doing it with physical stage props, he does it with IDEAS!

Oh, and great point Mr. Morgue about "discard value". A person's value and worth is judged in Scientology ONLY in terms of what any person gives, contributes and does FOR Scientology. There is no other index of measurement. Once you stop giving, you are DONE, as far as they are concerned.

Gad (love the photo on your profile)...I remember standing up during the Sunday service ...you know, the Sunday SERVICE...the one that has NO ONE in it...and lasts 1 minute. I could never figure that out until now... Part of the "smoke and mirrors" so if the IRS or Government came into the building ... they have to APPEAR like a Church!!!:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:FUCKERS

Anyway...I remember standing up (no one but me and the "minister" - the 14 year old that just joined staff the day before - sorry, I just can't help it) would read that statement.

I would stand tall :hyper: and read that out loud and actually feel pride surge through my body. Now I have pure adrenaline and hatred when I think of what a DOG and PONY show the Cult of Scientology really is.

Why don't the staff just quit...stop breathing life into those IDLE MORGUES!

I also recall many holidays where the Cult does not do anything - nothing - just "NOT-IS" all life on earth!

I wonder if Slappy is still singing that song - "We stand tall"??? HE NEVER DID! No pun intended???? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

God, you know, when I was involved in Scientology, at my most "true believing" best, there was NO TIME that I could stomach crap like "We Stand Tall". To me, even back then, with me just loving the auditing and SOME of the ideas, videos like this we so contrived, and SUCH SYRUPY SLOP! The whole tacked-on, and what was to me, unnecessary, aspect of PR and advertising irked me no end. I never liked it, and I never wanted to have anything to do with it. My thoughts were, "fuck me, I don't want anyone to know that I have ANYTHING to do with such a bunch of goofballs".

For me, I liked the experiences of 1) getting "blown out", "going exterior", "getting all peaceful inside', "my space expanding tremendously", and 2) hopefully being able to extend and increase on THAT state. I liked THAT. But all the rest of it?

Piss on it!

I never did. It was something to avoid - like events and briefings.

Whe I was doing A-E back in around 2000, not because I wanted to have ANYTHING to do with the Church of Scientology, but ONLY because I wanted to see my kids again, the "Org" would hold Sunday Service over lunch. They would try to get me to attend, but I would simply say, "I have to eat a good lunch and be studentable"! I would add, "I would hate to see my Student Points go down". They would hate to see that too, so off I went . . . . .

Note: I always much preferred calling it an "org", because calling it a "church" seemed SO BOGUS to me. Even when I was involved.

I hate sunday service, the reverend reads from a fake bible and mostly you hear some gibber jabber about LRH making some doctrine with rainbows coming out his .... But, what really kills me is the stupid songs and the group audting. I swear I think they were trying to give me a soar neck.:angry::unsure::grouch:

Ain't THAT the truth!

Once you stop contributing to the motion of Scientology, time or energy or money, you are viewed as useless to them. Sad, but true.

Not that I have any direct experience in this but judging by the stories from more recent escapees, perhaps that should be modified to ...

You are only as good as your next donation.

..

We of the church believe that all men have the inalienable obligation to believe our lies.

Re: "We of the Church believe" except...when it is okay to impinge on your human righ

"We of the Church believe..." was a typo and alteration by evil editors.

The Creed of The Church of Scientology should read:

"We of the Church deceive..."

yes.

the creed is abused all to hell and gone

but as it is stated it's a very good creed. it expresses sentiments and ideas men and women of good will are willing to accept and abide.

and...

auditing can be a very good thing.

why cannot those who do abide the creed affiliate to train auditors and produce auditing?

????????????????????????????????????????????

Because the creed is just PR and a shore story but the activity of training auditors is totalitarian which conflicts with the creed.

i trained to audit as public. the discipline was stringent but in no way totalitarian.

even staff at fcdc, then a sea org org was not totalitarian

it does need a highly disciplined cadre but not only could it be done, it could be done much better by free men and women

It would need people who want it.

Get ready for the truth - sit down, even.

smilia, you like so many others are frequently very right about what's wrong with CoS but you don't have my experience with it. my god, i wish you could have seen what i was able to do for my lifelong best friend while he was dying of cancer. it's center and power were the love of our friendship but without the tools gained from auditing, no, it wouldnot have been possible to do what i did for him
