No, wasn't there. I only share his birthday, and always had fun at LRH birthday events eating cake and all.

His departure is quite odd. The further reasearch excuse is pure PR IMHO. One day we will know.

Backtracking a bit, I just now noticed what you referred to by your incredible OD powers (I guess they've been upgraded to OB powers now); thank you for that exact quote. Yes, it's good to have your fairytales in order. I'd hate to misquote a sci-fi writer, considering it's my favorite genre.
