Looked high, looked low...cannot find...anyone have or know where to go?

This is the televised event where the WAR IS OVER! was pasted on the screen about 10,000 times.

Would really like to get that event.

Thanks, guano

I have a copy but the audio goes out of sync, if anyone has a quality rip with correct sync they would like to post that would be great.

Zhent,

Can you post it to YouTube or something? I realize the audio is out of sync but if it's got the stories about purging Lie R Crapturd's files with the gov't and putting in the correct info and stuff - that's the one I'm looking for! It talked about LSD and Timothy Leary being involved with Scientology - stuff like that.

Combining the AVIs to a single video and encoding to mp4 now, will put on file host tomorrow morning, with transcript/comments included. Audio is in sync.

Oh, I'd love to see that. I remember just being sort of disillusioned by the whole thing. Something didn't jive...and I got into the supposedly uber-selective after-party at CC (I was hanging with a gal I was just introduced to who had just got a national Pepsi ad--$ turned over for auditing, obviously--and had other known Hollywood credits). The sushi was pretty dang good, but it just felt 'flat'. Oh yes, one more time when I didn't run away.:duh:

And, I don't know WHAT the fuck is up with my creative punctuation...it's an old habit from old journals and notes to friends (I think I've used 4 layers or more of parentheses at times)...and I think being back in school where I uber-grammar everything makes me rebel like a psycho-bunny from hell. Sorry if it makes it more confusing.

Oh, and I remember the swing-dancing at the Pavillion (?) that night. There was just something really odd and wrong about the whole thing...wish I could put my finger on it; perhaps seeing the vid would jog my memory if it could be dragged up. Oh, I DO remember that at the event, I was looking all these folks from other countries with their flags waving and I was thinking that if I flew halfway around the globe to find out about only the fricking USA getting something--I might be a little pissed. I was kind of stunned they were so happy by it. I wasn't totally sold, and THEY were going nuts about it. Actually, I kind of had a problem with it, because other religions when parishioners gave money for a certain service and got that, it was NOT tax deductible. I'd worked for religious conferences in the past where it was made clear, so it kind of ooked me out that we as Scios were saying it all should be deductible. Yuck, yeah...I feel..ewwwwwwwww

Oh, I do remember accidentally flashing a trucker with my southern hemisphere (and the continental divide with how I was maneuvering) on the trip down because I was changing into my designer dress (only the BEST will do for an INT event:eyeroll:) in the car--we were late and HAD to make the event-- and things got turned around, and I thought I was OK....but, from his bulging eyes and the thumbs-up afterwards, my nether-regions were broadcast in an attempt to make it to an announcement of total freedom. He really COULD have refrained from blowing the trucker's horn and grinning from ear to ear........

Sorry, I haven't thought of that in years. Just came back while posting. The cult was insane, but sometimes I just gotta laugh at the crazy stuff. If it wouldn't have entirely destroyed my life and my sanity, it might have been a blast.

You are funny! You also have a great memory.

Scientology is a hodge-podge of icky things that don't make sense, all pasted together and then covered with a showy veneer to make it seem palatable.

Sorry for the delay, long day and everything finished when I was out and about. Multiupload is used to send files to multiple hosts, so the multiupload links give you links for hotfile, rapidshare, etc.

Audio should be in sync.
Runtime - 2h39m08s
Video: 512x384 MP4 (h264)
Audio: MP3, 44khz, 160kbps stereo (source was mono I think..?)

I had to join 2 AVIs together, looked clean on my end, might be a 1/2 second "skip" about 1h22m into the video.

Thank you! Now I have to figure how to see/listen.

Auditor's Toad

Clear as Mud
I remeber sitting at the event going to myself " OK, I know what they the church but what did the church give them to get THAT" ?

And, to this day, I do not know the answer to that question but I still suspect it was one hell of a lot of information on church members.

Well, remember I said I have a shitty connection?

That has been remedied but, alas, these links are not functional.

Any of you who scored these care to share?

PM guano and we'll figure it out!

Thanks!

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Miscavige
"Negotiations with IRS

In 1991 Miscavige, together with Marty Rathbun, visited IRS headquarters to arrange a meeting with Commissioner Fred T. Goldberg, Jr.. For more than two decades, the IRS had refused to recognize Scientology as a nonprofit charitable organization, a status granted to most established religious organizations. Prior to this meeting, Scientology had filed more than fifty lawsuits against the IRS and, according to the New York Times, "Scientology's lawyers hired private investigators to dig into the private lives of I.R.S. officials and to conduct surveillance operations to uncover potential vulnerabilities... [and] taken documents from an I.R.S. conference and sent them to church officials and created a phony news bureau in Washington to gather information on church critics. The church also financed an organization of I.R.S. whistle-blowers that attacked the agency publicly." At the meeting with Commissioner Goldberg, Miscavige offered to cease Scientology's suits against the I.R.S. in exchange for tax exemptions. This led to a two-year negotiating process, in which IRS tax analysts were ordered to ignore the substantive issues because the issues had been resolved prior to review. Ultimately, the church was granted recognition as a nonprofit religious or charitable organization in the U.S., which creates a tax exemption for the Church of Scientology International and its organizations, and tax deductions for those who contribute to their programs. Senior Scientology officials and the I.R.S later issued a statement that the ruling was based on a two-year inquiry and voluminous documents that showed the church was qualified for the exemptions.

To announce the settlement with the IRS, Miscavige gathered a reported 10,000 members of Scientology in the Los Angeles Sports Arena, where he delivered a two-and-a-half-hour address and proclaimed, "The war is over!". The crowd gave Miscavige an ovation that lasted more than ten minutes."

That's what we're looking for...the video of that event....anybody?
